I must try celeriac chips Pineapple27 , looks great, thanks for posting.
This looks appetising, Pineapple27 - I've never tried celeriac, let alone as chips - so that is something new for me to try. What kind of taste does it have? Is it like celery? Or like fennel or aniseed flavours? I have no idea, but it looks great!
Yes, a slight celery flavour. The chips don't go crispy and won't end up very brown. But I don't think of these as a replacement for chips, but as a healthy alternative which offer far more in nutritional terms.... and are not processed at all.
You can also make celeriac mash - the flavour compliments fish well.
I have also recently made it into "rice" and my next challenge will be to make a risotto with it. Would like to try it without any rice whatsoever.... theguardian.com/lifeandstyl...
Looks much tastier, than battered fish and greasy chips.
Ooh now that does look delicious, I've never tried chips made from celeriac. Thank you sharing 😊
