I went a bit overboard at the weekend, eating (and drinking!) far more than I should. Result, today is gout
I can barely walk! This is my body telling me (again!) that too much of a good thing has consequences. All the time I've been eating sensibly and keeping the alcohol intake low I've had no problems. You'd have thought I would learn.......

I doubt it, but the idea is to minimise the recurrence, and the best thing for that is to lose weight gradually and not go mad on meat! Which is a shame because I love meat and fish. Apparently vegetable protein doesn't appear to have the same effect, although I'm sceptical on that point. Oh yes, alcohol's a trigger too so more reinforcement on minimising that (sigh)
Today, my foot is just very sore as opposed to not being able to put any weight on it at all, so hopefully I'm on the mend.
