Morning everyone, seems like a while since I was last here, nearly 6 weeks, time flies by when you are having fun! Last time I was on I was just about to head home for my 5 weeks off, had just got under the 300 lb mini goal and had a wonderful vacation to look forward to.
I have to be honest, I was worried about the damage it would do to my weight loss/healthy eating plan. I was looking at a lot of socializing ahead of me and was struggling with how I could maintain my healthy eating at the same time as enjoying a few brews with friends and family. In the end I stopped stressing about it and just enjoyed the time I was spending with friends, I didn't want to be the guy at the table enviously looking at the jug of Pimms while I was sat drinking water.
However the past several months of healthier habits have stuck to an extent, I was consciously making smarter choices for meals without stressing about the exact calorie count. I've had a lovely 5 weeks off, a week on a boat in the med, trip to London, multiple BBQ's and nights out, the damage, well I was a shade over 302 lbs today, so 3 1/2 lbs on over the last 6 weeks. I'm pretty pleased with that, yes it's a gain, but I wanted for nothing and have some wonderful new memories of good times spent with friends and family.
Back to the grindstone now, hoping to have that gain knocked off in the next couple of weeks and then onwards and downwards on the scales.
Hope everyone else is doing good, looking forward to catching up with you all.

I agree with Tiggerr that is practically a win. I could do that damage in a week! The key thing now is to get back on track and the weight will drop off you. Good luck with it. James
I think that is a great result for six weeks "off piste"! As you say, it shows how well embedded your healthy eating habits have become and without the discipline of regular weighing, either. Those 3 1/2 pounds will come off in no time once you focus on them.
Thanks all, I was mostly worried about the effects of increased booze consumption, going from zero to a champagne lifestyle was going to be a lot of extra calories. However there were the upsides, walking miles and miles when in London visiting the royal parks and Hampton Court, doing yoga on a beach in Porta portals in Mallorca, yoga, me doing yoga! It was an experience to say the least, though my knees would plead otherwise. Got some good bike rides in and of course with the wife and son on holidays too I got a lot of DIY work done and chasing round after my lad and his new football team. I think that all helped limit the damage, back to normality now.
Yoga on a beach sounds brilliant! You may have just got me doing some in the garden later (probably to the amusement of next door and my kittens!) it's clearly paid off!
Ha, it was all very Hollywood! There wasn't enough room on the boat for us all to do it there so we hit the beach (6 grown ups, the kids just pointed and laughed a lot!). It was pretty much deserted when we arrived but soon filled up, very surreal.
