Hello thank you for accepting me to the group.

I have just read what my BMI should be ! Says 26.7 and i should at least be 25. The nhs result also says i would benefit from losing 2 stone ! So im here to try to do that, well not 2 stone think thats a bit drastic ! But know i have high cholestral , so need to eat much healthier.

Look forward to recieving and giving support x

Sunny 😊

Hi and welcome 1Sunny1

I recommend you work on 7lb goals and take it from there :)

I would like to invite you to join our Newbie Club, which we hope will be a good place for you to connect with members, who are also just starting out, or re-starting.

If you just post a few words on the October Newbie Club thread to introduce yourself and respond to others there you will soon feel part of the club.

Follow this link to the Newbie club:healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...

Please read all the information carefully, it is very useful and can be referred to whenever you want to check something.

It just remains for me to wish you well on your journey

:)

Thank you cracker, 7lb does sound a little better than trying for a 2 stone loss! Will join the newbie club, thanks

Hi 1Sunny1 . Welcome to the group. I agree the ranges of the BMI given are very wide and I believe I would be positively waif-like if I ever got to the lower half of my range ! :)

So I am aiming at the upper end. Seems more realistic for me.

Vegetable casserole instead of potatoes, pasta and rice is my key 'magic ingredient', and for me that works. Have also been more active than before, trying to do my 10,000 steps a day, although lately with other commitments that has not been achieved too much. But started getting back on track with the exercise today (despite the rain here ) and am over 12k steps so far today.

Good luck with your weight loss journey - I find this group a great help so hopefully you will too. Keep us posted with your progress. All the best for your first week

Hello Argyll Girl, i find this all quite daunting. I admit to having been a yo yo dieter. I can stay on a diet for awhile but end up not being able to resist foods containing sugar and fat again of course over indulging after not allowing any naughty food. For health reasons i must try to find a solution.

Well done on your step count, how on earth do you achieve them all? Im struggling with achieving 3,000 at the moment. Son bought me a fit bit for my birthday the rascal lol....so only just understanding how i get my steps in

Best wishes, sunny
