A wicked Wednesday with a chance of rain.

Today was a relaxing 1 hour and 5 minute walk covering 6km and 533 kcals burned.

It was raining today but luckily I dodged it and didn't get caught init... I didn't aim at tackling the hill near me again today as I used this walk as a recovery work for my legs which ache at the moment.

I ended up going to a couple of shops and picking up some 29p carrots and 17p diet lemonade as I have on most of my walks.

I have also started to love cucumbers once again strangely enough which go with my carrot sticks I make as a snack.

Breakfast 1 bowl of cornflakes plus sugar

Brunch a cheese spread sandwich

Lunch a cheese spread sandwich with carrots

Dinner 2 steak ale pies at 500 kcals each. With 2 sausages and carrots

This today has been the highest calorie intake of the week but I can knock off one of my steak and ale pies with my walk luckily

Tomorrow will be my rest day... and feet up but fully aware of what I am eating as I aim for low calories

Total steps for today are 16.8k.

Lots of carbs SilverSpeed but the walking is going well.

Don't forget that diet drinks are full of sweeteners which is not good your insulin levels.

Yes thanks for making me aware of that. I drink coffee 3 times a day with 1 packet of sugar and I won't be moving to sweetener in my hot drinks.

But in the evenings I do have a lot of sweetener drinks which I guess I will have too switch to water or fruit juice.

Because I am on a budget currently my only and best option is cheap diet drinks.

Once again thanks for that information I will take that on board

SilverSpeed - your very best drink option is water out of the tap! No sugar, no sweeter and it is so very, very good for you. I note you like cucumbers - try putting a few slices of cucumber in a jug of water in the fridge it is delicious!

I love your random bargain veg hunts on your travels! LMAO!

Doesn't sound like your'e eating that much especially with all the exercise so I'm sure the weight will drop off.

Roll on the veggie bargains!
