motivated to start losing weight

Hello my name is john and I too like sugary juices and snacks. I am trying to motivate myself to start going back to the gym but I work all different hours which is difficult to go to the gym. so like a lot of people I like a late night snack like toast and a cup of tea. I do drink a lot of tea and coffee and have two spoons of sugar each time. any suggestions how to start to cut out the bad stuff and any advice to help burn the stomach fat. would be much appreciated. :)

Hi john welcome to the forum 🙂 sugar is a tricky one I know I struggle with that and still have to have sugar in my tea and coffee atm 😳 however I have started using a smaller teaspoon so instead of 1 teaspoon of sugar in my tea or coffee it's more like 2 thirds 😅 Plus I've found I don't need sugar in my coffee if I use my nespresso machine!

I have also started cutting down on sugar in other things and this has come from calorie counting using the MyFitnessPal app and finding out my personal calorie range from the NHS BMI calculator.

Good luck on your journey there is so much information on this forum and so many wonderful people I'm sure you can do it 👍

Hi. I agree with xvanillaskyx try just putting one sugar in, you will be surprised how quickly your taste buds adapt.

I'm terrible with sugary sweets and treats so I make sure I don't have any in the house instead I substitute them for lower calorie alternatives

To help with when you're doing different hours try having a low calorie treat in your bag. That way when you get a craving you will reach for a low calorie alternative.

Regarding the gym, I've downloaded some videos onto my phone so I can do some short exercises when I get a quick 10 minutes

Good luck
