Enough is enough I HAVE to shift this weight. I’m wanting to lose 9 stone!
I’ve recently signed up to the gym but my biggest problem is I work shifts! 4 days on 4 days off and 14 hour days when working so I struggle to get time to get to the gym!
Really looking for help support and biggest of all motivation from everyone.
Looking forward to hearing from people. Nicole x

I'd like to invite you to join our Newbie Club, which we hope will be a good place for you to connect with members, who are also just starting out. If you just post a few words to introduce yourself and respond to others there, you'll soon break the ice. Here's the link
Hi Nicole and welcome. Well done for posting here, where you'll find lots of friendly and helpful people here to support you on your journey.
The good thing, is that whilst exercise does help, you'll find out when you follow the link by moreless, that losing weight is 80% what you eat and 20% exercise.
Hi Nicole, start with a small goal, then set another new goal little steps.
Do you have an interest? For me it's swimming. Maybe try out few things on your days off. I find I have more energy and better mental state after exercising. Best of luck x
Exercise is admiral in many ways, especially when done in a group so you socialise, lose weight, push depression into distant memory and enjoy yourself. Whilst it helps in weight loss I believe that portion size is much more important and having little often helps and of course stop the fizzy sweet drinks, cakes, biscuits and change to nuts and fruit. It is a habit so you have to persevere through the initial stages and then it will be a natural thing to do. If you sign up with your doctor and you lose a certain amount of weight, he can help you with medication that blocks fat being absorbed. This helps a lot as there is a side affect which makes you not want to eat ANY fat ! I will have to leave it to you to find out the details. This is a link to the NHS Choices site but I am not sure that it is allowed on here.
