Hi and welcome, KarenBev :)

Well done for losing almost 2st, that's a great achievement!

I personally would rather fry than grill, as the food ends up tastier and moister. I have no fear of fat :)

I do a combination. Some foods are better pan friend (for example, just enjoyed a sea bass fillet with thyme and black pepper butter tonight that needed only 7 minutes to cook).

However, with it I had oven roasted Mediterranean chargrilled vegetables which were oven baked.

Many vegetables flavour is improved by baking I think - butternut squash, celeriac, carrot, etc.

Of course, you don't have to use a LOT of oil when pan frying - and I often use a griddle pan which means I am able to use less oil.

KarenBev, lovely to hear from you and welcome.

Very well done on already losing 2 stone. I am very impressed and pleased for you.

In my defence I use very little oil when I fry anything and do bake where possible. Re grilling ..... I have an electric oven with a sort of grill at the top which takes for ever to heat and is costly to run.

Some time soon I would like to buy a gas oven like my hob but in the meantime I make do.
