Calories losing weight

Hi ladies and gents

I am desperately trying to lose weight. I have used a calorie calculator and it is saying I need to eat 1374 calories a day to lose weight witch is fine how ever if I am to meal prep for the whole week. I'm stuck on how much chicken I use and veg and rice if I'm to weigh it out not sure how many grams of eat item I need to use it's really confusing and I am not sure what to search for? Could anyone give me some advice please :-)

Kind regards

Hello Dreamy_shutter and welcome. Well done for taking the first steps towards a healthy lifestyle.

If I'm understaning you correctly, perhaps initially, you could make yourself a meal that you always make (eg. chicken, veg and rice), weigh each bit to calculate the total calories and then see how that compares to your total daily calories. If it's too much or too little then you can adjust the quantities accordingly.

An administrator will respond later with an in depth guide covering many issues, including nutrition. Reading that will hopefully answer many more of your questions.

Good luck.

Thank you tigger for your input much appreciated :-)

Eating too much was my issue too Hidden I call it portion distortion! 😊

Good luck

Try to use cauliflower rice. All the big supermarkets have it and it's basically shaved cauliflower.

Much lower in calories and tastes pretty good 👍
