I want to loose a stone its taking ages - I still eat chocolate

Hi Bluelady-sing

It will take a long time if your still eating chocolate! Why not try a week without any, if you get the craving have a low cal hot chocolate drink to take the edge off.

YellowRose55 is very friendly and diplomatic. I read your post and thought 'well don't eat chocolate then!' But Rose is much kinder than I am. Good luck, it isn't easy I know!

How many calories are you even eating daily because this could also affect this. Check out how many you should have on the NHS bmi calculator to be able to lose weight and make sure you are at least eating this many, but obviously with counting calories as you have been advised it will be slow because in general we tend to lose 1-2 lbs weekly although there will be times we put weight on as well. It won't help with eating chocolate but if your not even eating the right amount of calories this would be the problem. Either upp calories if they are wrong or if they are right then try and be a bit more patient as we will all feel like this at some point and you will get there, good luck.

Do you gorge on chocolate?

If you've only a stone to lose it might be slow.

I couldn't sustain weightloss if it meant staying off chocolate forever.

Can you work it into your calorie allowance occasionally as a treat?

It will be okay. Just start again too and you'll be fine. No chocolate!!
