I've been struggling for the past couple of years with my weight... feeling so down with the way I look... so woke up this morning and found your website.....
I desperately need to lose 5 stone...
I'm the type of person who likes a quick fix..
But them fixes don't work for me...
So I'm giving myself 2 years (that's when I'll be 5O) to lose 5 stone ....
Hope you all don't mind me keep asking questions

Take a look at the Pinned posts section to the right of your screen (bottom if you're using a mobile), or in the drop down on the 'Posts' page (it says 'arrange by'). Read the Welcome Newbie thread, then move through to the challenges, where we hope you'll find at least one that will appeal to you.
Move down to the Topics, to find a variety of threads, collated into specific topics for ease of access and we ask that you also 'file' your own threads, so that others won't miss your important news.
Take a look at the NHS 12 week plan, as a lot of people have been successful with it, making sure to enter your details into the NHS BMI calculator, to get a calorie allowance tailored to your personal requirements. Don't forget to take your starting measurements and a 'before' picture, as they can be very motivating on days that the scales refuse to co-operate.
To the right of the HOME page (bottom on a mobile), you'll find Events. In there, you'll find links to our daily Weigh-in's (you will choose just one day per week), our Daily Diary, where we post our menu and exercise plans, for accountability, advice and support and our βWhat's happening todayβ thread, where we pop in for a chat.
Be aware, that the HU app doesn't give you access to all of our important features, so we advise that you use the full website page.
We've found that to get the best out of this community, we need to be active on the forum, as it's where we exchange information, get motivation and inspiration and make friends. We hope that you'll join us here, regularly, too.
It's only left for me to wish you well on your journey
I like the quick fix too and some days I wish it would happen but thats not the way it works. So I think you goal is realistic. I'm still new too and have asked lots and lots of questions and always get answers with a friendly smile This is a great place for support and encouragement.
Do you know how many calories you have been eating in general. I used to think I was eating enough calories and it turned out I was only eating around 1000 Cals a day. Because of this I never was able to lose weight and often put weight on instead. If you don't eat enough calories your body thinks you are starving it and turns what you do eat into body fat and this weighs more than eating the extra calories does so it stops you from losing weight and sometimes puts weight on instead. Check your details for how many calories you should be eating to be able to lose weight on the NHS bmi calculator and make sure you eat between the two amounts it advises you too but don't eat any lower. It will even be ok for you to eat the higher amount as well as at least you can slowly drop amounts if you come across any problems during you journey but if you go for the lower amount you will not be able to drop any further if you come across problems. Good luck with your journey.
