Hi everyone. I have been losing weight on and off for years. Every time I've lost a decent amount I've gone and put it all back on plus more. I now need to lose about 5 stone for the sake of my back and knee joints. I'm a bit low on willpower especially at this time of year!

Hi and welcome Happydot
Another early bird
Have a good look around the site and especially read the Welcome Newbies thread - it has a lot of info in it.
The NHS 24 diet is a great diet to loose weight and to be able to make it a lifetime change as it is all healthy eating - Have a look and do the BMI check to get your recommended calorie intake (Please note that as you loose weight you need to check your BMI as well as the calorie intake changes as your BMI lowers, hence helping you keep off the weight you have already lost - well as long as you carry on eating healthy and within the calorie in take range )
My down fall this time of year is exercise - tis so cold and dark out and I just want to curl up in the warm after work
Wishing you all the best on your journey and keep posting and ask questions
Onwards and downwards
Hello and welcome
Nothing to add to the lovely welcome from Cracker but I just want to say it can be done, lots of people successfully lose weight and keep it off π I have been on my journey for almost a year and a half, and have had a few bumps in the road but am still either losing or maintaining most weeks π I never thought I would get her but I have, and it was relatively painless as I eat a generous amount πππ so have a read of the links Especially the bmi checker, and off you go! Keep,us posted πππ
Morning Happydot, I have just joined and you sound exactly how I feel! I now have 6 stone to lose having been a yo yo dieter for years and the then having my son 2 years ago just sent my weight rocketing π Determined this time though as if I dont do it now I never will. Best of luck!! ππΌπππΌ
