I have lost another 1lb so am now 10st 7lbs. This means I have lost 1/2 a stone since June and a stone since this time last year, so I am delighted. I am still aiming for 10stone but I'm not rushing it...just aiming for 1lb per month and maintaining it. I realise that although I've always eaten healthily I've overestimated what my body actually needs. Also, although as I child I was told to let my head save my heels, I have stopped this habit. That means that I move much more by obeying every errand up and down stairs when it happens instead of storing it up for when I'm going anyway.
Good luck all of you this week.

Well done. You have encouraged me a bit as my weightloss isnt very fast, but if there are others losing fairly slowly but just keeping going, maybe its ok if i do it. I have alot of weight to lose so i probably need to go a bit quicker, but still if i had gradually lost a stone in the past year i would feel better!
With more weight to lose it will probably fall more dramatically to begin with but I have yo-yoed throughout my adult life and now, very late on I realise how useless all that effort has been...the pain of trying to lose it only to put it back on again is a waste of your life. So I am now determined to keep going and to stay there. Keep at it and I wish you every success. Life's too short.
The slower and steadier you lose weight, the more chance you have of keeping it off long term. Of course it all depends how much overweight in the first place, but similar to you I had 2st to lose , lost it in just under a year, and have since kept it off for a year and a half . Well done struggle for finding a pace to suit you.
Well it is true to say that its better late than never, of course, but just think of all those wasted years when one hated looking in the mirror, was dissatisfied with buying clothes, always battling....what a waste of time and effort when I now discover how simple it can be once you've got your head in the right place. Ah me! "If only" is however a futile sentiment so it's now just a matter of enjoying it whilst one can.
