So it's been two weeks since I stopped myself consuming (most) sugar and salt. First week I did 1 jog and sprint run, between the first monday and Friday I lost 2 kg. It did go back up on the weekend because of ordering out on day, but yesterday's weigh in showed that I had gone from 91kg when I started to 88.9 after 2 weeks, which for me is something that I am very proud of. I am setting myself weekly objectives. I read that for my weight and height drinking nearly 3 litres of water or 2970ml is beneficial so ive been doing that for a couple of days now. Does anyone know of anything else that I could do or stop consuming to help my weight loss? I'd appreciate some feedback. I haven't really done any other exercises than that one but I've heard that walking is a good one.
Also I can't really see any visible changes yet but I don't know if that's normal or not.

If you want exercise to help you along the way you could try the couch to 5k challenge which you can find on here, search for c25k. A lot of people of all ages and ability are doing it and it might be good for you to look into it. Just remember though that weightloss is mostly to do with diet, you will notice the loss eventually, just keep going at it.
Fascinating reads 😊I should be used to myth-busting, having adopted LCHF but the myths keep being knocked down: salt in diets, 2L water daily, exercise to lose weight. How on Earth anyone knows how to eat healthily and maintain a stable weight with so much misinformation around is a miracle. Thank goodness for the ambassadors on this site such as yourself plus the enlightened medical/scientific community of Zoe Harcombe, Tim Noakes, Stephen Phinney, David Unwin amongst others 😃
I think the thing to take from it, Sheperdess, is don't believe everything you're told, research for yourself. If all the advice we'd been given worked, then we'd all be as slim as pins and fighting fit!
Absolutely agree. Just sitting here, scrolling, not feeling hungry, not wanting breakfast, living the LCHF/IF life, busting myths🧚♀️ (busted myth 1: breakfast is the most important meal of the day, busted myth 2: eating frequently small meals during the day is best). 😊
I've similarly cut out sugar several times. I don't know about you but the first 24hrs are the hardest! At the moment I'm looking to reduce the carbohydrate components in my meals a little, which seems to be getting me results.
I'm not a big fan of drinking gallons of water. Please be careful of drinking that much if you're cutting out salt too. Yesterday was hot and I went for a run and actually needed 2L. Most days I don't! I drink if I'm thirsty/hungry and that works for me.
