Hey guys..

So I've not posted in ages :( not been feeling the best if I'm honest. My test results came back all bloods were fab except Iron apparently I'm seriously low in that..who knew. My smear test came back normal which I am super happy about.

The thing that's stopped me dieting is my mother..I was told my Dad has kidney failure and not long left,so I asked to go see him she says no..we want nothing to do with you..it's been like this for nearly 9 years and it's not fair :( feels like my heart is breaking and there's nothing I can do.

Anyway my head is out of my ass and I'm starting my healthy eating today, not calling it a diet as it's a lifestyle change :) hope everyone is well xx

That's great news about your blood test results, pixie, you should be able to up your iron count very quickly and be feeling full of beans :)

I'm sorry to hear about the troubles with your parents. Is there another member of the family who could act as a mediator?

Wishing you all the best with your new healthy lifestyle, I hope we'll be seeing you out and about more often now :)

I'm sorry to hear that. Maybe you could write to your Dad, making sure that the envelope is typewritten?

Come and join the weigh-in, Daily Diary and challenges, to get you started :)

Good to hear about your test results and your new lifestyle change.

Not knowing the circumstances with your family, but only you can make that decision to go/not go and see your Dad. You must do what you think is right for you alone.

Best of luck.

I agree. And in the end Hidden , I also think it's your Dad's decision if he wants to see you (not your mother's). Is he still at home or in a hospital/hospice? If this is the case perhaps you can contact them and ask them to put your request to visit your Dad to him, privately, without the rest of the family around. I'm sorry to hear you're having such a difficult time, families can be difficult and I hope you manage to find a way to get through this.
