Hi
I am on week 2 of my diet and am feeling really motivated. However I am dreading my PMT week as this seems to derail most diets. Does anyone have any tips to being prepared to get me through this!!

I think, osci, that your totm is a fact of life and must therefore be factored into your new healthy lifestyle, not diet.
Most women will experience cravings, especially chocolate, but the thing is to be prepared for those moments and try to preempt them, with healthy snacks, or diversion tactics.
There will very likely be bloating and weight gain, but that isn't the end of the world. It will have subsided by the following week.
Just keep doing the best you can and you will emerge the other side
Slow release carbohydrates such as oats to prevent low blood sugars, and exercise used to help me.
It can be tough, but can be worked around. I was always energised and ate much less the week after which would balance out over the month.
Good luck
Thanks for your replies - you are right i need to plan ahead and also not get too stressed if i do stumble a bit - i guess it is picking myself up after a bad day rather than throwing in the towel!!
agree - I am 52, a bit on/off with my periods now. I think I just had a phantom period week where I just wanted to eat loads of bread and Marmite (my weakness). Feel a bit down, but like you to say we can't give up at every setback!
