One idea is to bulk cook. So you can cook many dishes in one day that are heathier for you and freeze them. Slow cook healthy soups are good. If partner cooks then limit the amount of the calorific foods you have. On the odd occasion I do have take outs or a meal out but I watch my portion size and have lots of veg/salad and fruit. Other ideas may be to give him ideas of the kind of thing you can eat. I'm still training my hubby about what I eat, He often still buys the calorific yoghurts and quick meals so I have to show him. Sometimes you can't avoid it.
Thanks everyone for your great suggestions will definitely be putting these into practice
I've found routine paramount to both weight loss and maintaining a healthy weight, knowing what you are going to be eating on a particular day in advance really helps. Perhaps part of your changes should include an overhaul of the way you currently do things, speak to your husband and see if you can't between you come up with a meal plan or a different way of doing things. Making that extra effort to cook and plan your meals even when you are tired, is all part of the changes for life needed to make it work. Once you find a routine that works for you it's much easier, it just takes time and some commitment and effort at the beginning.
Good Luck.
Hi, have a look at the meals you might like in advance. it makes it a lot more practical and easily fits into most peoples day to day. I used the platform plan. it gives you a list of simple lunches and dinners so you can pick in advance and they are all easy to do. GOOD LUCK
