Yesterday a great start, Lucy (the dog) and I walked off to the woods for a nice hours brisk walk, then later to the pet shop with the children to get her some treats :) clocked 14000 steps ..yipee

Today, attempt 1 We crossed the road, she did her business. head down, looking very forlorn, I couldn't get her to move. Attempt 2 after lunch , set off again, desperate to get my steps in. We got a little further , up to the entrance to the woods. Head down, eyes up, there was now way she was going any further...

She's meant to be helping me with this journey, not hindering me :(

Any tips from dog owners, would be much appreciated.

Tempted to try again , but might just leave her and get on my exercise bike ..

Have you tried food treats, making yourself more interesting than home? I mean a silly high-pitched excited voice and running with the treat/squeaky toy, to get her attention.

Does she get to run off the lead? Walks with rabbits? Taking the children?

It's all worth a try :)

Oh yes she runs off chasing squirrels, and the children:)

Will find a squeaky toy, and give it a try.. thank you
