Anyone tried this as a weight loss aid? Any thoughts? Is it a good thing or a myth? I'd love to hear from you... Happy Saturday!

Hi Grannybwell,

I haven't tried it and couldn't say whether it was a good thing, or not, but I did find this, which is quite interesting

I use cider vinegar because of its health properties rather than as any kind of slimming aid. There is lots written about the benefit of apple cider vinegar. I used to use balsamic vinegar a lot but realised it had lots of sugar in so have now ditched it.

There are lots of good things to do with cider vinegar. I always use it in salad dressings, sometimes put it in my hot lemon/turmeric/black pepper drink, pickle red cabbage and onions/cucumber in it. In fact I use it whenever vinegar is in a recipe - like for instance a vindaloo curry.

To get the best benefits you need the organic cloud one that has "the mother" in it - or so I believe.

Another wonderful tip. Never thought about the sugar in balsamic.. Doh! Definitely a swap for me. Thank you!

I have to confess I felt pretty silly when I realised it!

Hi, I've also heard about this but not tried it, I have however tried raspberry ketones green tea pills and various other pills none work for me or if they did it was also part of eating healthier and doing more exercise, so I probably would have got the same results and saved money!

Let me know if you try it and what results you got,

Good luck, have a great day 🤗

Great information. I am very sceptical of the claims for raspberry extracts. I'm doing some more research and then will decide. Ceals recommends including it generally in the diet. I'll be sure to post if I decide to go for it. Cheers.🌸

I'll regularly use a small amount in salad dressings, helping to bring the dish to life, particularly when I don't have lemon or limes in the fridge.

Additionally, every couple of months, I'll use it in a foot soak, alongside Listerine (anyone else tried it?) to keep the skin on my soles soft, supple and healthy.

I think Apple cider vinegar is great to use for salad dressings but would suggest it is possibly the eating of a healthy salad rather than the cider vinegar that has the slimming effect
