I have been following slimming world for the last two years and have lost a total of 1 stone 10lb however since August last year I seem to be putting it on back on, then losing it and putting it back on. Last September I was also diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and was given medication and it seems since then I have really struggled to shift my weight. To this end I have decided to look at my calorie intake and look at limiting and reducing the amount I eat. I am getting married next year and I am so desperate to lose this weight for then and also my health.

Take a look at the NHS 12 week plan, as a lot of people have been successful with it, making sure to enter your details into the BMI calculator, to get a calorie allowance tailored to your personal requirements. Don't forget to take your starting measurements and a 'before' picture, as they can be very motivating on days that the scales refuse to co-operate.
We run a weigh-in every day of the week and you'd be very welcome to join one of them. The threads can always be found in the Events section, to the right of the HOME page, bottom on a mobile.
We also run a Daily Diary, where we share our meal and exercise plans for the day. It's a great place to get ideas and to keep us focused. The link can also be found in Events.

It's only left for me to wish you well on your journey
Congratulations with getting married and well done for giving yourself long enough to lose any weight you need to. Please make sure you eat enough calories though marienic180 because when I first joined I wasn't eating the right amount of calories as advised by the bmi calculator and I wasn't losing any weight. I thought by eating less than it said I would lose weight faster. Then I was advised on here that this was my problem. By not eating enough my body was thinking I was starving it and would turn what I did eat into body fat and this weighs more than eating the extra calories would which was why I wasn't losing any weight and sometimes putting it on instead. I started eating enough calories and have now lost 1st12lbs. Make sure you don't make this same mistake. Good luck with your journey.
Yes, with the bmi it give you two amounts and as long as you go somewhere in between this amount you should be ok. I did go to the lower amount but have since found out that if I went to somewhere in the middle I would have lower amounts I could drop to when I have bad weeks if I am putting on weight. Doesn't happen too often though.
