I'm looking for community support. I weigh about 120kg and i'm supposed to weigh about 75 to 80kg for my height. I've been taking frequent walks and counting calories which seems to work. I lost 3kg in 2 weeks but ive gained it back. I'm hoping that the support of a community will keep me accountable. Anyone out there feel the same and looking to get healthy with me?

Looking for community support
Hi and welcome, you have found the right forum for support, motivation, help and tips.
Make small changes they are easier to stick to, have a look at change 4 life app they have some great sugar swaps,
break down the kgs into smaller sections and reward yourself (non-food) as you reach each goal
Keep active on the forum it really does help, ask questions no question is to silly, answer posts if you feel able, join in the challenges.
I was a yo-yo dieter up until I found this forum, their help and support has completely changed my mind set, I'm losing weight and having fun, oh and I'm not hungry
Good luck

Hello and welcome to the Weight Loss Forum Chinny88 😊
Losing 3 kg in two weeks is quite rapid so it likely it wasn't all fat, which would explain the re - gain 😕 Getting the calorie allowance right is key so please check your BMI as suggested below to find the correct target calories for you 😊
Here are a few more suggestions on how to get the most out of the forum. Please note if you are using the new HU App many of these features are not available so I suggest you use the full website version.
The first place to look is at the Pinned posts section to the right of your screen (bottom if you're using a mobile), read the Welcome Newbie thread first and move through to the challenges, where we hope you'll find at least one that will appeal to you ☺
Move down to the Topics, to find a variety of threads, collated into specific topics for ease of access and we ask that you also 'file' your own threads, so that others won't miss your important news ☺
Have a look at the NHS 12 week plan, as many people have had success with it. Also use the BMI checker to find your target calories, it's important to eat enough. This was a major turning point for me, realising I could eat anything I wanted as long as the calories are accounted for ☺
Don't forget to take your starting measurements and a 'before' picture, as they can be very motivating on days that the scales refuse to co-operate ☺
The forum also have group weigh-ins every day and also a new Daily Diary, if you wish to take part. The posts can always be found in the Events section on the 'home' page ☺
You'll notice a grey box next to people's names, these are achievement badges, and as a new member you may have a 'Newbie' badge. If you have any questions or would like a Newbie badge please just ask ☺
We've found that to get the best out of this community, we need to be active on the forum, as it's where we exchange information, get motivation and inspiration and make friends. We hope that you'll join us here, regularly, too ☺
Best wishes
Anna
hi. just to let you know i started in Dec at 19st and i am now 20lbs lighter.. each week ive checked in on my Saturday weighin regardless of whether ive gained or lost.. and its this forums support thats kept me on track.. my weight loss is up & down all the time but when you look at total weight loss im losing an average of 1lb per week which is fine with me. My aim is to be another 2 stones ligher by the end of the year but my monthly goal is 4-5lbs per month... set yourself Small goals as they are easier to hit... stick with it and dont think of it as a diet but a lifestyle change for life.
Good luck x
