Hi all. Decided to join today. 34kg overweight. Fed up with fad diets and indigestion
Hi: Hi all. Decided to join today. 34kg... - Weight Loss Support
Hi
Hi and welcome, Troisdorf
Take a look at the Pinned posts section to the right of your screen (bottom if you're using a mobile), read the Welcome Newbie thread, then move through to the challenges, where we hope you'll find at least one that will appeal to you.
Move down to the Topics, to find a variety of threads, collated into specific topics for ease of access and we ask that you also 'file' your own threads, so that others won't miss your important news.
Take a look at the 12 week plan, as a lot of people have been successful with it, making sure to enter your details into the BMI calculator, to get a calorie allowance tailored to your personal requirements. Don't forget to take your starting measurements and a 'before' picture, as they can be very motivating on days that the scales refuse to co-operate.
We run daily weigh-in's and you'd be very welcome to join us. The threads can always be found in the Events section, to the right of the home page, bottom on a mobile.
We've found that to get the best out of this community, we need to be active on the forum, as it's where we exchange information, get motivation and inspiration and make friends. We hope that you'll join us here, regularly, too.
It's only left for me to wish you well on your journey
Hello and welcome Troisdorf25 you have come to the right place for sensible weight loss and friendly support 😊 I agree totally about fad diets, I don't 'diet' at all and have turned my life around 😊
Good luck
Welcome Troisdorf, nice to meet you. I used to live in Troisdorf in Germany. Is this where you live? This group is brilliant. I hope you'll like it here. Best of luck.
Completely agree with you.
A diet that includes 3 healthy meals a day with a couple healthy snacks along the way is the best diet there is because thats how we can live our life not just the next 3 months.
Going on a cleanse or a carrot and pineapple diet or a seaweed and peanut butter stomach rinse (not a real thing lol) might give you short term results but you learn nothing and end up putting it back on anyways.
Time to treat that thing attached to your head a little better. It drags around all day every day with little complain - time we gave it the right fuel so it can feel good as well.
P.S. And indigestion SUCKS. Healthy eating should pretty much eliminate this horrible side effect.
Before I started to diet I looked into many different diets and decided they weren't for me instead I looked into what the body needs to be healthy. Plenty of fruit and veg, protein and carbs. The NHS good food plate is a good start. Following the NHS 12 diet plan is very good because it give good advice not only about food but also about wellbeing. This forum is very supportive. I myself don't say that I am on a diet I say I am on an adventure. Because with loosing weight you feel better, look better and have more energy to do other things
