Hi - I wouldn't think it's a good idea to do a drastic diet if your trying to conceive, but healthy eating and cutting down will help. Have you had a look at the NHS Weightloss Club PDFs? There's a group starting Week 1 on Monday so you would have plenty of support on here.
Wishing you lots of luck with diet and getting pregnant.
my problem is i eat very less... compared to many others... its juzz once a day i have proper food... rest i eat fruits... but still im keeping on gaining weight. as i asthmatic i am not able to do many excercices..i am really worried about mt future.. if i fail to conceive my inlaws may force my husbands to divorce me
Perhaps it may be good for you to see a doctor or nurse to make sure there's nothing medical causing your weight gain. They may also be able to advise you on the sorts of gentle exercise you could do without setting off your asthma. It must be really hard for you with the family expectations on you, but try not to worry too much. I do hope that things turn out ok for you and that your husband is supporting you too.
I used to only eat 1 meal each day, thinking it would help me loose weight, but all it does is make your body lock the food away as it is starving!!
Try having a small bowl of porridge oats ( not ready brek ) with fruit for breakfast, or blend some yoghurt, fruit and a little semi skimmed milk to make a smoothy.
I was told by a dietician to
Draw round a teaplate onto a piece of card
Draw a line through the middle of the circle deviding it into two equal sections.
Draw a line through the middle of 1 of the halves to make 2 equal parts.
You should have 1 half and 2 quarters
This is the measure for every meal.
The largest portion is for vegetables and fruit,
1 of the smaller portions is for meat, fish or if you don't eat meat you can have quorn or similar products.
The other smaller section is for Carbs, wholegrain, wholewheat, wholemeal, seeded, brown, spelt as we all know are best.
Don't drink for 40mins before or after each meal, and chew your food as many times as you can as your brain takes 20mins to realise that you have eaten.
Any food left after 30mins throw away,
This is what people going for gastric surgery are told to do, and it does work.
I think I would pop to a doctor and get checked out for polycystic ovary syndrome before you become too anxious about things. This will then give you a base to start from and lots of dietary advice along with the correct medication. From what you're saying, it does seem a possibility.
