So I'm off on holiday shortly and I tried on clothes for it and I feel disgusting and fat in them all. Now I'm dreading holidays!!
I can't say my diet is going to start while I'm on holiday - but I will try and be healthy and be more active while I'm there. Then the diet and hard work starts when I'm back.
I need to lose 8 stone I reckon to be healthy! I need to do this, for no one other than me! I need to not hate myself anymore!

Take a look at the Pinned posts section to the right of your screen (bottom if you're using a mobile), read the Welcome Newbie thread, then move through to the challenges, where we hope you'll find at least one that will appeal to you.
Move down to the Topics, to find a variety of threads, collated into specific topics for ease of access and we ask that you also 'file' your own threads, so that others won't miss your important news.
Take a look at the 12 week plan, as a lot of people have been successful with it, making sure to enter your details into the BMI calculator, to get a calorie allowance tailored to your personal requirements. Don't forget to take your starting measurements and a 'before' picture, as they can be very motivating on days that the scales refuse to co-operate.
We run daily weigh-in's and you'd be very welcome to join us. The threads can always be found in the Events section, to the right of the home page, bottom on a mobile.
We've found that to get the best out of this community, we need to be active on the forum, as it's where we exchange information, get motivation and inspiration and make friends. We hope that you'll join us here, regularly, too.
It's only left for me to wish you well on your journey
Hi, don't panic go away and enjoy your holiday, this will give you time to relax and get in the right frame of mind, you are not fat and disgusting you are a lovely person who on holidays return is going to become healthy and fit, it may take a while but you can do it.

Please don't be disgusted with how you look as it is only a shell. The real you is inside and as time goes on the shell will blossom and change. It is part of the journey we take so try to enjoy the journey too. If we always look in the mirror and hate what we see then where is the joy in that? We need to embrace our bodies and the changes that will come with weight loss.
Enjoy your holiday, try to watch what you eat and explore by walking around and dont let a few bits of cloth or a shell ruin it for you.
Firstly, I join moreless in welcoming you to the forum.
Don't be disgusted with yourself, we've all been there, but believe me, it's a pointless feeling, because you've made the decision to change it.
I would say have this holiday and start properly when you come back, rested. It doesn't matter what people round the pool or on the beach think of you. We'll have you fit, healthy and looking forward to your next holiday in no time!
Also, being a bloke, I'd always been scared of taking my top off on holiday, I was a yound 23 year old who weighed 29 stone, and most men my age had toned arms and a six pack, but I learned to zone out and ignore the looks and managed to enjoy every holiday I had and have
Even though they are athletes I bet there is something that they would like to change about their shells. Nobody is perfect and dont ever let anyone put you down.
I just felt like this on my holiday a few weeks ago, none of my holiday clothes fitted and I couldn't face a swimsuit never mind a bikini, think it gave me the kick up the bum I needed to do something about it! Only been on here a couple of days but I have enjoyed being able to speak about how I feel without being judged!
Hiya. Please don't be disgusted with yourself. Go away and enjoy your holiday. If you can eat healthy whilst you are away then do so.
If there is a pool use it. Swimming is a fantastic workout. Just don't push your self too hard. Just a small change in lifestyle can make a huge difference.
