Smaller plate

I think my hubby thinks I'm mad! When we have dinner together I eat of a smaller plate than he does because visually it feels like I'm eating the same but in actual fact I'm eating a lot less.

Don't worry my hubby knows I'm mad πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

A smaller plate does make your brain think it's getting more, so long as your happy with the amount and feeling full that's all that matters, good luck xx

That's a good idea smaller plate does make you think you are eating more. Keep it up

Good for you. I've been eating off a side plate from day 1, even when the family have stayed and have found it of great help.

I'm with you on the smaller plate thing but I did treat myself to a portion control plate as one of my weigh success treats ( non food)

It's a psychological thing you feel like you are still having a big meal even though you are not. If it works use itπŸ‘πŸ˜Š

Me too, I use a smaller plate for all my meals now. Best way for portion control!

Oh dear, I think I'm doing things a bit wrong then and very lucky to have gotten away with it so far.

I have the same size plate as everyone else and it always looks like I'm eating far more than everyone else because my plate is loaded with salad and greenery and heaps of lower calorie vegetables and fruits of every possible colour and description; I have no problem at all in getting the newly recommended 10 fruit and veg a day.

I'm absolutely not recommending anyone else tries this as the small plate idea is so very sensible; I'm just relieved I've managed to lose weight at all x

I think your idea sounds brilliant kalahuchi. Colour on a plate full of goodness how can that possibly be wrong. Well done by the way I've just spotted your 5 stone badge. Brilliant.

I've just decided to join you crazy people. πŸ˜‰ We are camping for a week and the fruit and veg is few and far between so a small plate will help with my portions at least.
