Many years ago I had joined weight watchers and over a 18 month period I lost a lot of weight. I put this down to the leader of the meeting as she was like on here full of help and enthusiasm to everyone plus made you still feal good if you had a bad week.
She had to stop and someone else took over and it seemed more sales orientated so we gave up.
This site has given me the confidence and determination to reach my goals and this is due to all the excellent comments and posts people have shared which inspired me to write this, just to thank everyone.
Don't ever stop😁

I'll second that, this forum is the most wonderful, helpful, informative place ever, everyone on here should be so proud of the way they treat each other xx
Happy to hear the forum as given you confidence and determination in reaching your goal.
I tried SW and WW but never really lost more than a stone, but since joining the forum last June I have lost 4st 5lbs and still losing. Could not have done it without everyone here.
I feel like I know everyone its the strangest thing. And when someone posts a photo of them selves I get such a shock as I have a mental image of everyone and its usually totally different!! Like reading a book then watching the film to discover all the characters look wrong!!
I would no way have lost any weight without everyone here, its just amazing.
You are so right Hidden , it is the most wonderful forum and I agree with Hidden , we should all be very proud of the way we treat others here. I sometimes wonder what would happen if we were all in one room, it would be very noisy, we can all talk, (especially me...school reports alway said 'would do better if she didn't talk so much'... oh dear I never learned to shut up. The more you give the more you get. JiminyCricket , I would love to hear a description of what you think I look like, I just imagine you as this dear little cricket sitting on my shoulder saying 'you know you shouldn't do that....you're going to regret it', I love jiminy cricket😊
Different ages - Different sexes Bloggers with hair , some grey, some blonde with streaks.
Tall short disabilities smily faces faces in pain, young and old.
Some with a cat on a lap others walking their dogs others a babe in arms, children driving you wild or an elderly parent coaxed out into fresh air.
Lifting legs gently from a chair or running that 5k or face down swimming cap on and length by length.
We're all so different loosing weight in kilos, stones, pounds or inches getting new clothes to fit our loss.
Lets count calories leave the chocolate cheese sweets and booze alone.
Yet we're all in the same boat found this forum for a reason.
Sat by our laptops pads or phones chatting imagining what we all look like 😀 but all tap tap tapping all the time a Virtual hug and an encouraging word can help.
Haha! I chose the name to be my own conscience, reminding me not to lose my way!!
Lucigret makes me think of a Lucy-Gretal combo, so in my head you're about 10 with a colourful skirt and a wide belt skipping about in the countryside. A feisty bouncy kind of character. There you go!
ooh I'm liking that description, I would love to be so carefree as that 10 year old again. I guess I have been described as bouncy before, but never feisty, although where friends and family are concerned I can be. I guess my confidence has grown, in a room full of strangers, I would once have been the quiet one in the corner, observing but too frightened to say anything in case it was utter rubbish I was spouting - now I obviously don't mind spouting utter rubbish lol.
Likewise, Dread! It is amazing to be part of a community helping you along and not being judgemental when things go a bit awry. So, onwards and downwards, all of us!
