As a newbie I have found two things have really helped here. The first is those people who have lost stones in weight! Well done to you - you are my inspiration! The second is the ‘ community support ‘ I have always done weight loss alone but hearing about others’ ups and downs really helps!

Totally agree with you Twiggy to be The downs can be as motivating as the ups, showing that we're not alone and what others have done to deal with them.
I agree, Twiggy, reading how others have done, and the great support are real motivators. Well done on the stone by the way!
I completely agree with everything you said, others who have been in our position have the experience to help us, their weight loss gives us the motivation to do it too, "if they can do it then so can i"
We learn so much on this forum as Well as getting encouragement and motivation, we learn how things affect our bodies such as sugar, fat & carbs etc, we also get meal ideas hints and tips, its by far the best place to be.
There is no embarrassment of others seeing how big we are and having to get on the scales in front of others, there is no one diet fits all, and it's all free!!!
I personally don't think I'd have kept going without this forum and everyone's support etc, I recommend it to everyone I know who is wanting to get fitter and healthier.
So thank you to everyone on the forum you are all great!!!
I agree with that. I don't post all the time but try to come onto the forum a couple of times a day and have learned so much just by reading the comments on here. Everyone is so helpful and so supportive of each other. I've told quite a few people about this site when they have asked about my weight loss.
It certainly does help. I don’t get to post every day but I try to have a quick read every morning just to set me on the right path for the day. X
This is the sort of post I love to see It is so nice to when we can see that people are benefitting from all the support here - it certainly helps to know you aren't alone and to pick up tips and idea
We all need support, I think it’s fair to say lots of us have bad days, weeks even.
Try to draw a line under those phases and start afresh, plan, plan, and plan, food won’t ever give you a hug tho, friends, family and pets do tho!
