I'm Ruby8
And I watch my weight.
I'm gonna be as thin
As the proverbial pin.
If you come along
And sing my song
You can be skinny
Like Mickey and Minnie.
Don't eat no cakes
And other fresh bakes.
They're much too dodgy
And you'll get podgy.
Eat some salad,
And dance to my ballad
Then I think
That you will shrink!
Our aim today, is to support and encourage, so we ask that everyone responds to at least one other member, ideally the person directly ahead of you on the thread. This is a bare minimum, though and we'd love to see everyone, with their pom poms, cheering as many people as they wish, on as many days as they like
It would make things so much easier for us, if you could state your weight today, how much weight you've lost/gained/maintained this week and your goals for the week ahead. Other than that, feel free to share any details of your week that you like.
MY WEIGH-IN
Last week I weighed 230 lbs, this week I weigh 230lb! that's a maintain , which as we all know, is better than a gain!
My weight loss is slow, usually 1-2lbs a week, but generally only a pound a week during the winter months which is ok by me.
NEWBIES
If you're joining this weigh-in group for the first time today, then please introduce yourself and share your starting weight (if you feel comfortable doing so) and your initial weight loss goals. Setting yourself mini-goals, leading to your ultimate weight loss goal, is particularly helpful. You could also make a note of your body measurements. Sometimes the scales stick at a particular weight, but there can be body measurement changes which are very motivating. It’s not all about the scales after all – it’s how you feel in yourself.
If you’ve not already seen it, then take a moment to read the ‘Welcome Newbie’ pack, which is a Pinned post (situated on the right hand side of the homepage, or scroll right down to the bottom, if you're using a mobile).
Here are the stats from last week:
Total number weighing in - 37
Number of replies - 215
Average number of replies - 5.81
Total amount of weight lost - 20.07lbs / 9.10kgs
Total amount of weight gained - 13.06lbs / 5.92kgs
Total number who maintained - 5
Newbies / Restarts - 7
Average weight lost - 0.23lbs / 0.10kgs

I'm going to PM you and get us devon maids on track !
That means no going out for cream teas or ices on the downs but maybe just a walk that will make us feel that much better.
• in reply to
I do like salad but it just doesn't fill me up. I guess if I added fish it would. I don't eat meat. I like most veg too but again they don't fill me up...
Devon maid - love it. As long as you don't say 'Me lover me lover' or 'You are mazed' They drive me potty. You don't talk in the present tense rather than the past do you? I found that very strange when I moved here.
Can't afford cream teas or ices which is probably a good thing. I only do that on very special occasions. I do love the Mr Ripple ice cream from the Beach café though - the top one. Bev x
Good day from me…formerly known as ‘ewillday’. So much happy bouncing lately, it had to happen.
Thank you Ruby (moreless) for the poem and well done Ruby on the maintain. Those spring days are almost here to perk us up. Whilst cycling yesterday, I noticed snowdrops, daffodils, croci and a large bush/tree covered in pink blossom.
Original weigh in was 87.6kg. Last Monday I was 79.7kg and this morning I am 78.0kg on the nose. I’ve spent the week worrying so much that I might creep back into the 80s (doesn’t worrying help you lose weight?)
My next goal is still to earn my 10kg badge.
I'm only a smidgen away but I don't want to be complacent.
Thanks Finnberry. Seeing them gives me an extra spring in my step (no pun intended). Many things are popping up in the garden that shouldn't (self-seeded violas, sweetpeas, lobelia and antirrhinum). Although a few hard nights might wipe them out. I've even got a couple of lettuces that have self-seeded into a wall basket.
Thank you Ruby. During the winter I get rather down in the dumps about my garden and don't forsee myself becoming enthusiastic again... but I'm starting to get itchy green fingers, even though I don't know where I'll find the time this year.
Aaaah... kiss of death No polishing please. Pressure's on now
I'm good really... after having a couple of disappointing weeks that postponed my breaking 80kg I know that this isn't a straight line graph. I've finally started doing a bit of exercise so it's hard to say how that might effect me.
Hi everyone, it's been 2 weeks since my last post! Had a wee holiday, although good, they tempt us off the path of healthy choices. I was really nervous to weigh in today, as I have had a few treats! My starting weights was 91.4kg, my wight today 80.9kg phew! My last weigh in 2 weeks ago was 83kg so happy I have managed a holiday and still had a loss. Happy Monday everybody😁
Fantastic news Sugarplum16 ! You have probably changed your habits without realising it. Maybe you feel fuller sooner and stop eating where before you would keep going. Either way you are doing brilliantly so well done!
Morning all. This week I'm posting another gain of 1 lb. From 11st 11.5 lbs to 11st 12.5 lbs.
Hmm, well yes Anna61.. Let me see - what did I do differently? Well I brought carrot cake to a friend and had to sample it, but one slice wasn't enough to give me a taste so I was obliged to have another. And we went out for a meal on Saturday. I'm lucky it's not more.
You know yourself. My motivation is a bit wobbly at the moment. I almost didn't come back on again as it's been weeks since I lost any weight. But everyone has been very supportive. Thank you all.
Hi derrygeel. Along the road we will all have MINOR hiccups, I have gone up two lbs this week. Only by keeping to the regime that caused our initial loss will we succeed.
Yes it's true. I don't want to make excuses but it's been a tough enough week on the home front with a few strains here and there but i think I'm focussed again.
Morning all. not a massive loss for me this week just 0.4kgs- however since 2nd January I have now lost 11.2 kgs so I WILL NOT feel down about my loss this week My aim this week is just to keep going - something I so find hard once the weight losses start o slow down. here's to a great week everyone xx
You're heading in the right direction and doing well @mum123, you have made great progress overall. My weight loss has slowed down to a plod over winter, I am losing about half a Lb a week, but I am hoping things will pick up as Spring comes along. We all tend to get a bit more active in the better weather and it helps. Please keep going, we're all cheering you on!
thanks Ruby - I suppose I know the score ( after all I must have been doing this dieting lark over 50 years !!!) I don't mind when I have 'cheated' but when I've done everything right it is disheartening - but I will continue this time Good luck to you this week xx ps love the onwards and downwards !
Hi All. Being a bit of a dinosaur on the computer I have, at last, I hope, found the right place to post my weight.
Starting at 14st 1lb after Christmas, I am now at 13st 6lb, having been down to 13st 4lb, where I stayed for two weeks, before moving up today. My height is 5' 5" and I am 78.
I am on a medical exercise programme three times a week and manage to walk at least 2 miles twice a week as well.
I welcome any advice on how to carry on with my downward spiral.
I'd recommend the 12 week plan, it's really good and coming on here is a great motivator. The exercise will make a huge difference and it's as good for your mind as anything I love getting out for a walk myself!
Brilliant progress Bighi ! The best advice I can give you is to keep going. Make sure you enjoy your food and ring the changes so you don't get bored. The exercise programme sounds good, and now the (hopefully) warmer, brighter days are coming it will get even easier to make time for nice walks etc.
Thank you Ruby8. Your good wishes have increased my resolve to succeed. It is either succeed or a new wardrobe and I can not afford that. I WILL SUCCEED
You are doing fantastic Bighi ☺ Don't be disheartened by the numbers on the scales playing tricks, a 2lb gain isn't much in the grand scheme of things ☺ it's the long term trend that matters.
It never hurts to reevaluate our eating though, was anything different this week?
To motivate you I'm giving you your 7lb badge which I'm sure you will soon be changing for the one stone one ☺
Ye Gads, I can barely contain myself! Another 2 lbs off so 14:3 today! That’s 15 lbs off in total since beginning of the year! I was desperate for my new shiny badge by the end of Feb and I'll get it. WooHoo Here’s my other measurements:
2.5 inches off bust
5.5 off waist
3 off hips
.5 off thighs
.25 off calves
11.75 inches off in total
Hope everyone else has had a good week. Keep on shedding that weight …xx
Made up my mind to face The Measurements check next Monday - thank you ANewMe2022 . I haven't had the courage to do that since I started last September so hopefully that will keep me on the rails (minimum sugar / alcohol) this week.
Excellent! You don't need to tell anyone if you don't want to. Sometimes when the scales don't budge, just to get the tape measure out, gives you that extra motivation. Keep shedding...xx
A disappointing week for me again. I did 9 gym sessions, Pilates, yoga, spinning, Zumba, Aquafit and couch to 5k and managed to put on half a pound. I'm back up to 12stones 3.2 which means I've lost nothing in the three weeks I've been doing this. I stick to between 1500 and 1800 calories and my Fitbit tells me I have a deficit each day so I don't understand it. I did have a day off on Saturday as I was out but overall I should have been okay. All my food is cooked from scratch and I'm trying to eat more fruit. Maybe I need to take more care with portion control as I don't weigh everything 😏
You will probably lose weight 'all of a sudden' Mission17 , so please don't lose heart. It can be terribly frustrating, but sometimes it just goes that way. The VITAL thing is that you keep going, and that weight will come off.
Have you tried measuring your self, waist, hips thighs etc? It is possible you have lost inches but not weight...that can happen!
I had a situation a few weeks ago where I had been so 'good' but saw no weight loss. I 'gave up' and had a good feed, and blow me if I didn't show a weight loss the very next day! KEEP THE FAITH! xx
With the amount of exercise that you're doing, I would say that you're gaining muscle weight and would advise that you take some measurements, because I bet you're shrinking
If you don't weigh your food, then you can't know precisely how many calories that you're consuming, so trying to do that, may make a difference.
Whilst fruit is a good source of vitamins and fibre, it's also high in sugar, so I would suggest increasing your consumption of vegetables and limiting fruit to 2 portions per day.
Check the NHS BMI calculator for your recommended calorie range and don't go below that.
Keep at it, because those pounds will eventually be banished
Hello Mission17. That's an impressive amount of exercising, I'd love to be where you are.
As has already been said there's a good chance that you're producing muscle and a good way to check is if you've got waist measurements and others at the beginning and end of each week. How about your clothes do they fit any differently?
It looks like you're doing most things right (portion control aside) so good luck with the coming week.
Well done on posting Son1, a 1lb gain is easily turned into next week's loss - as long as you know where it's come from - so good luck this week.
Last week I weighed 13 stone 11lbs and this week I weigh 13 stone 10lbs. I'm really pleased with this loss. I've found that tracking my calories in on my Fitbit, drinking more water and trying to increase my steps each day has helped
10st 11.5lbs. Still hovering around the 10st10lb to 10st 12lb mark. Temporarily lost the discipline needed to not eat between meals, but still aiming to get it right. Let's see how this week goes!
You're on Ruby. I got to 10.10lb and lost the plot, stopped keeping a food diary and started eating Xmas biscuits. Let's see what we can do this week. Cheers!
I seem to have had a lot of urges lately to snack in between meals. If you don't have healthy snacks lying around, that may be a way forward.
Fortunately my partner has been really supportive and does this. Most of it is fruit (I know it gets a bit of a bad press here if you eat too much of it but I'm not going to be Mother Theresa in a day and its currently working for me). There's bound to be other good stuff that you can have to hand that will work for you.
Good morning I've stayed the same at 13st 4.5 lb this week. I have had a cold the last few days and my eating has been less planned - more snacks and just having what I fancy.
I had been hoping the February challenge would spur my weight loss on but this month seems to be a slow loss time so maybe March and the beginning of Spring will be my time.
Hope you all have had a good week onwards..........😊🏃♀️
Never knock a maintain nac150 , it is so much better than gaining! It's not easy if you have been poorly. I am hoping my weight loss will pick up too as the weather improves and my activity levels rise!
Take heart, be nice to yourself and I am sure you will soon be making progress again!
Maintaining is still better than gaining It's always harder when you feel unwell, you start to crave things that will make you feel that bit better! Hopefully the weather will pick up soon and we'll all be able to get outside a lot more
Well done on maintaining while you have been poorly - it's all too easy to edge upwards when you eat snacks. Once you get back to "you" and Spring comes at last, you'll probably find a bit extra slips off!
Me too re snacking etc. I do think the cold weather hasn't helped, yet I was fine in Dec. Still, spring is coming, as you say. All the best for this week.
It's maybe not surprising that our bodies want to hold onto their reserves! It's been a bit parky up here! Warmer weather may make a difference, dunno...xx
Really pleased this morning, after one week I've managed to lose 2.5kg down from 112kg to 109.5kg Think this has mainly come from eating a proper lunch and cooking properly on an evening rather than eating junk food! Dead chuffed
Well done echall ! It just goes to show that a little bit of planning ahead goes a long way in getting the weight down. Keep it up were all in this together and you're doing great x
Even better! I've just started back at work after having my two daughters. Having to be really strict to avoid all the lovely treats bought in by staff and customers! It's torture 🙈
I have to say I wasn't all that pleased about it to start with! But it does mean i do an hour of walking every day so I guess I can't complain lol! Oh tell me about it, working in an office doesn't make this weight loss very easy sometimes!
Ahh but the snacks are oh so tempting! To be honest, I was probably a big culprit for buying them for the office - so I'm probably doing everyone a favour by not, right?!
I missed last week as had no scales with me whilst staying away from home. However I am pleased to say I have officially hit the 1 stone mark since weighing in here at health unlocked! Hooray! Weighing in today at 15:2! That is a loss of 3.25 lbs I think, over two weeks. Back to normal weekly weigh ins now would like to get into the 14's pretty soon, so will make it an aim to head in that direction for the next week.
Happy to say a week into my "healthunlocked" journey I have lost 1lb. Not a lot but I am pleased because I am now counting calories on my own - my weight loss had slowed to almost nothing with the slimming club and I decided I needed a new approach. And a funny thing happened yesterday - I was wallpapering and so slipped the wallpaper brush into the waistband of my old work jeans for a minute and it promptly slipped down the inside leg! A bit of room in my old jeans so must be on the right road! x
Good morning everyone well done on your losers and STS 👏👏👏👏👍🎉well I must say the scales have moved for me this week I'm down by 1lbs I'm hoping I will start to loose weight now and not put back on next week as my hormones area bit all over good luck everyone for next week and thank you for all your support on here 😆👏😃
Stopped two weeks of gaining (or perhaps even 3) - lost 0.4kg and am now 80.8kg. March beckons, so resolving to focus in March on doing the right things. Forgetting about my bad February!
Thank you - my only philosophy as I know what to do, but unfortunately haven't got enough willpower to do it all the time. Life is sometimes just too short to deprive oneself.
Thank you - annoyingly I was in nearer touching distance back in January before I slipped up. Still, as Wawrinka says, Try and fail, try again and fail better.
Well done in showing great determination in sticking with the course despite what must have been sapping setbacks. Harness that and you're home. Best wishes for future loss.
Thank you - I just need to make sure this time that the harness doesn't break quite as quickly as before. It's odd how after a few days of dieting I suddenly notice all the people who are larger than I am, even if they are few and far between, which promptly results in me going overboard again!
I will look at it - but as for turning stuff on its head, this is exactly what I do. I see all the skinnies and resolve to diet, after a bit of success, I get bored with the diet and suddenly notice the others. Not comparing on purpose, it just seems to happen that way.
Hello! Newbie here - I've been lurking for a while but think I need the support and motivation from all you lovely people to keep me on track...
My weight has been very up and down over the last year or so, but taking the start of 2017 as my starting point:
Starting weight: 15st 10lb
Last Monday: 15st 3lb
Today: 15st 1lb
So nearly out of the 15s! Would love the number at the start next Monday to be a 14.
My ultimate long-term goal is 10st which is right in the middle of my healthy weight for height, but that's a long way off yet...
My current mini-goal would be to be out of the 200s by Easter Monday, which gives me 7 weeks to lose 12lb - might be achievable, will keep working and see how it goes!
Hello abigettinghealthy and welcome to the weight loss forum ☺ That's a very good start to the year and your weight loss journey ☺
The first place to look is at the Pinned posts section to the right of your screen (bottom if you're using a mobile), read the Welcome Newbie thread first and move through to the challenges, where we hope you'll find at least one that will appeal to you ☺
Move down to the Topics, to find a variety of threads, collated into specific topics for ease of access and we ask that you also 'file' your own threads, so that others won't miss your important news ☺
Have a look at the NHS 12 week plan, as many people have had success with it. Also use the BMI checker to find your target calories, it's important to eat enough. This was a major turning point for me, realising I could eat anything I wanted as long as the calories are accounted for ☺
Don't forget to take your starting measurements and a 'before' picture, as they can be very motivating on days that the scales refuse to co-operate ☺
The forum also have group weigh-ins every day if you wish to take part. The posts can always be found in the Events section on the 'home' page ☺
We've found that to get the best out of this community, we need to be active on the forum, as it's where we exchange information, get motivation and inspiration and make friends. We hope that you'll join us here, regularly, too ☺

First week weigh in........ Ok, so I've had my doubts this week, very nearly gave up Thursday, have felt sick most of the week, mainly due to not being used to eating so much.... it's been a challenge and I've not always hit my calories target but...
Start weight 14st 10 lbs (206lbs)
Today: 14 st 8.2 (204.2lbs) down 1.8lbs
An encouraging start, this week I'm aiming for higher calorie small meals, hopefully this will help stop that sick feeling of eating so much trying to hit calorie target, and less stressful for me.
I'm breaking down my main 5 stone target into more manageable 7lb targets, which I've seen quite a few people do...........
Morning all. Getting frustrated. Put 2lbs on and so am 11st 2lbs. Checked how I was doing on friday and I was 11st not overindulged this weekend and even fitted in a couple of runs and now I'm 2lbs up. Desperate to get on to the 10s again like I was in December. If anyone has any advice id love to hear. I use mfp and am on 1300 cals currently. 😢
Only my first week, but I was struggling with the calorie intake last week, e.g., eat so much (1640cals)! Check you BMI on the NHS BMI checker and maybe adjust your settings on MFP, it may be that your not eating enough....... I know it goes against what we expect but seriously have a look....
Thanks Rosie173 . I looked at the article and went on to the nhs site who suggested 1445 cals for weight loss. I think I'll try adding about 100 more cals per day and see what happens. Although I got down to 10st 6lbs I put weight on over Christmas and it's just stuck. Ever since I went down to 1300 it's been a struggle to keep to it so maybe 100 more might just get things moving again. Thanks for your help x
My weight can go up after exercise so it could be that Nomoreexcuses 😕 But also check your bmi and target calories as 1300 is very low. In my experience MFP errs on the low side anyway, but did you factor in the exercise?
Thanks IndigoBlue61 . Yes I sometimes cling on to weight when exercising too. I did factor in exercise to mfp but I checked the nhs site which suggests 1445 per day for weight loss so think I'll try eating an extra 100 cals per day and see if that helps. Thanks for the good advice xx
That's a really healthy weight loss, well done you. Breaking down your main goal into smaller targets is a good idea it is much more manageable. Good luck ☺
Hi! I am a newbie with 3 - 4 stone to lose (sounds huge I know) I started dieting in January and I have lost 3 pound up to now. Not a lot I know but a start and it has given me confidence to continue. I now need to start exercising and will try the 150 min exercise for March and see what happens. I have enjoyed reading other members posts and realise that I am not on my own with medical problems and weight problems. I took early retirement last year so I do have the time to do something about my weight/fitness I think I just needed the motivation to do so. Well here goes looking forward to March.
Welcome! You will find all the support you need here. I look you have a huge final goal. The best thing to do is give yourself smaller targets to achieve on the way to your final goal. Good luck this week. 🙂
Hello wardie27 and welcome to the Monday weigh-in ☺ well done on your success so far ☺

Happy with a 2.5 lb loss this week. It seems I have managed to achieve the right daily calorie intake. I am also doing 10 mins on my exercise bike 5 days a week and 3 times a week I am doing dumbell and stomach exercises. Its not the amount recommended on the 12 plan, I have had to adapt it to my ability and will increase the cycling minutes as I get fitter. Although for some reason it feels like cheating!
That's an excellent weight loss purplerosie ☺ you are doing the right thing starting with short amounts of exercise, adapting to suit our own ability is very sensible ☺
It helps YellowRose55 with the stats if you share your weight last week as well as the amount lost if you could please ☺
Congrats on the weight loss this week and I don't think the people who devise these plans realise that it's pretty difficult for some of us to just jump in and do the amount of exercise they suggest. I certainly started off very slowly with small, regular walks and have built on that over the months as the weight has come off and exercise has become easier and more fun. You're not cheating, just being practical and sensible; I'm sure you will enjoy your exercise more and keep it going in the long term if you don't overdo it at this stage x
Hello jess-secondtimelucky and welcome to the weight loss forum ☺ well done on your success so far, you are well on the way ☺ almost 2 stone off already! Whoop Whoop ☺☺☺

Good morning Milo; glad you're feeling the encouraging vibes and very well done for that maintain. You sound very positive and I'm sure your stone will be off in the blink of an eye x
Thanks Milo. Small goals that are achievable seem to work so much better for me too; if I have thought of losing this much weight when I first started I would surely have panicked and headed for the cream buns! x
Good morning all; your poems made me smile and I'm almost inspired to have a go myself.
I've lost another pound this week so it's still coming off ever so slowly for the time being and my new weight is 10 st 12 lb which is fantastic. I went to a dance on Friday in my best sparkles and will try and work out how to post a pic, but if I can't I shall put it on the main forum. It's interesting because I'm wearing the same dress that I was in October and I can really see the difference over that time. Anyway, good luck with the weigh in today x
Thanks Anna; to be honest I don't have a goal as such apart from being happy and healthy and I feel that I am. I'm just carrying on doing what I'm doing until the weight loss slows down (about 1/2 lb a week now) and I end up somewhere. I'm intrigued to find out what dress size I'll be though. It's quite difficult after all of these years to get away from a weight loss mentality and I'm putting a lot of effort into cultivating a maintaining frame of mind x
Sorry to hear that you've been in a lot of pain, Jayney, that can increase cortisol levels, which leads to weight gain, so hopefully, if you're able to control the pain, you'll see a loss of weight too
Could you please give us your start weight and your weight today, as it will make things so much simpler for YellowRose55 doing the stats?
I hope you have a better week with your exercise next week; feeling stiff and achy really doesn't help matters does it? Although it is nicer to see the numbers on the scales going down, I have to say that 0.6 lb isn't a lot to put on and could just as easily be put down to any number of things that are totally out of your control. Wow, I bet you could lose that by standing on the scales with your feet in a different place!
Have a great week and I hope the scales are kind to you next Monday x
goal for next week - 135 pounds - I need a loss now after loosing the plot a bit.
So much easier if you just count pounds - why didn't I copy that earlier, 8-).
Quite pleased because I thought this would be a big gain as my 'beer-belly' is back.
Nevermind...considering what I got up to with the Girls last Friday night, I am relieved.
My mantra for this week: "Thou shalt not don an Elvis wig and dress like John Travolta from "Grease" whilist imbibing one bottle of Cava and one pint of lager, in the excuse of 'entertaining' a girlfriend at a "Grease-Sing-a-long", who has just come through her last bout of Chemo successfully!
Hi I'am a newbie first weekly weigh-in so here goes hope I am in the rifht plae to start with last week on joining i WAS 11 stone 5 lbs this mornign i weighed in at 11.3 yippee 2 lbs off really dont know how I managed that but still it is uplifting and still a long way to go but will continue to go forward

I can't rate the 12 week program enough. I have followed it pretty fanatically I guess plus listened to the wise people on this site and have done well by it.
Thanks I started the 12 week program exactly a year ago, but I dropped it after only 3 weeks. Yes, it was working, I lost 4 kg during those 3 weeks at that time. However some things in my life went astray, so weight loss was the last thing on my mind. I am hoping to stick to it and do all the 12 weeks this time!
Hi everyone hope you are all well. I was surprised to have lost weight this week as I've had family staing this weekend and that threw me out of our routine a bit, howeve all these little changes I am making seem to be having a good effect! So I was 72.2kg last Monday and this Monday I am 71.8kg (400g loss) 😊
Hope I've got the correct place to post my weigh in. Last week, my day one, I weighed 11st 2 1/4bs and today I'm 10st 12 1/2lbs, so I've lost 3 3/4 lbs. I'm well pleased with this. Not easy though, had to really motivate myself. Craving chocolate, but not given in YET!
Yep you have posted in the right place and a big YEP you should be pleased Daizey that's a great loss. You've already kicked the 11 stone bracket into touch.
As for cravings, try drinking fluid (preferably not sugar laden) and also have a variety of healthy snacks that you like, near to hand.
Sorry I'm a bit late in the day this is the end of my first week and I have lost 2lb. I'm not doing tape measurements until I've done a month. Wasn't a bad week, didn't exercise as much as I would like but replacement cross trainer on the way on Wednesday.
Hi Ali, sorry, but you logged your starting weight as 11st 2lbs, which means you've actually lost 1lb this week, but that's still terrific! Well done you!
My starting weight was 73k; last week I was 68.5k; today I am 68k.
In fact I reached 68k in the middle of last week and claimed my 5 k loss badge, straight away. I am quite relieved not to have gained anything over last weekend, so that I get to keep it.
I have reached 2 goals, [ healthy bmi and 5 k badge,] in the last couple of weeks, which has been lovely. However, I expect the next few weeks to be harder. My next goal is 65 k, but i don't reckon I will get there by week 12 when the course ends. Excluding the water loss in week 1, I lose under .5k a week on average, less when I fail to keep up the exercise. What happens when the course ends? do we start all over again?
Well done for keeping that 0.5kg loss and your 5kg badge and for attaining healthy BMI, geniii, that's fantastic!
The "course" never ends, I'm on my 6th lot of 12 weeks and am still a long way from healthy BMI! You just keep going, either starting from week 1, if you need to re-boot, or continue in the same vein, using the lessons already learnt
HI geniii . You can have any picture you like as your icon...like my neon Ruby bunny! Just find a pic you like from your own photos or online and use the edit my profile button to put onto your icon or your banner pic. Hope that helps!
Thanks again, Moreless. I am in awe of the stamina to complete 6 courses of 12 weeks; that's at least 72 weeks, (even with no down time), if my teachers taught me my tables correctly. Here's to keep on keeping on to that healthy BMI. All the very best. You're a star.
Good evening @stuck in a rut ☺ sorry you are disappointed with the maintain. 😕
Not sure where abouts you are on your weight loss journey so it could be a number of things ☺are you doing anything different? Have you checked your bmi and target calories recently? You could try mixing things up food wise, eating different things.
