Feeling disappointed π
Don't feel disappointed Charlotteashcro this has happened to me many times. Just stay positve and keep saying to yourself that you can do this, and all the lovely people on this forum will help and support you all they can don't let it get you down and move forward from this. Start taking measurements from your waist and hips, and even if you are not losing the weight on the scales, you will start seeing a difference with the tape measure Good luck
Have you been exercising more or done anything else differently?
Sometimes exercise can cause water retention (the body retains fluids to help muscle to recover after exercise).
Are you on any medication that may make weight loss more of a challenge?
Finally, do you have very much to lose? If you have just a small amount, then it may be harder to lose.
Try cutting down on processed carbs (white rice, pasta, bread, packaged ready meals) and you may enjoy a better result next week.
Just check that 1400 calories is correct for you, personally, Charlotte. It may be that you need to eat a bit more.
Enter your details into the NHS BMI calculator, for a range of calories
did you check your measurments? you probably lost a inch or so. check them and see and you may be surprised!!
Don't be too disheartened about staying the same either as I have put on a pound this week so you done much better than I did. I have lost, stayed the same and put on so done all three at various times and I know this is your first full week just look at it like you still have all this to look forward to. You will feel great when it happens, but it still puts you down a bit to start with. Good and better luck next next.
Thanku π
Hi Charlotteashcro,
I started the NHS 12 week plan 4 weeks ago, the first week I lost 2lb,the next week nothing, then 3rd week 1lb and last week 1lb,wanted to lose wanted to lose 10lb,so another 6lb to go.So average 1lb a week loss.
1400 calories a day plus doing lots of walking, when I don't walk outside I do Lesley Sansone's walk a happy 1mile,or 2miles or 3miles not done the 4mile one yet, although do more than 4 miles some days outdoors.
Hope this helps you as second week was disappointed with no loss but words of encouragement on here helped.I'm 71 this month so never too late to start.
Take care,Maureen x
