Hi everyone, newbie signing up
Hi and welcome, Moogleboo
Take a look at the Pinned posts section to the right of your screen (bottom if you're using a mobile), read the Welcome Newbie thread, then move through to the challenges, where we hope you'll find at least one that will appeal to you
Move down to the Topics, to find a variety of threads, collated into specific topics for ease of access and we ask that you also 'file' your own threads, so that others won't miss your important news
Have a look at the 12 week plan, as many people have been successful following it. Don't forget to take your starting measurements and a 'before' picture, as they can be very motivating on days that the scales refuse to co-operate
We run daily weigh-in's and you'd be very welcome to join us. The threads can always be found in the Events section, to the right of the home page, bottom on a mobile.
We've found that to get the best out of this community, we need to be active on the forum, as it's where we exchange information, get motivation and inspiration and make friends. We hope that you'll join us here, regularly, too
It's only left for me to wish you well on your journey
Welcome!!! You'll love it here
Good luck Moogelboo! Neat name! All the best for the journey. G56
All the best Moogelboo with your journey here. It is wonderful on this site as it has kept me going and I have always struggled before. You find out lots more information that you ever get told elsewhere either. Things like, I didn't realise that you always have to eat at least a certain amount of calories every day otherwise your body feels like you are starving it and turns it into body fat. I always hardly ever ate. Which then makes you put weight on, not lose weight. Now I know this I am eating more and losing weight. I never managed to lose weight much before other than when I swapped sugar for sweeteners. This helped me to lose around 3 stone. Around 10 years ago. I was amazed and so pleased. Good luck!
Good luck with your new regime, use the help and advise from the knowledge you will get from everyone on here, its invaluable and non judgmental. We are our own worse enemy sometimes, learn to love yourself and find something absorbing to occupy you thats not diet related to keep yourself busy. And drink plenty, it does help to keep any hunger pangs at bay.
