I'm new here..hoping to lose at least 100lbs before my wedding in 2019 feeling a bit down at the moment due to waiting on blood test results appointment..wish it would hurry up already lol I hate waiting at the best of times.

Congratulations on your forthcoming nuptials and good luck with the results of your blood test
Take a look at the Pinned posts section to the right of your screen (bottom if you're using a mobile), or in the drop down on the 'Posts' page (it says 'arrange by'). Read the Welcome Newbie thread, then move through to the challenges, where we hope you'll find at least one that will appeal to you.
Move down to the Topics, to find a variety of threads, collated into specific topics for ease of access and we ask that you also 'file' your own threads, so that others won't miss your important news.
Take a look at the NHS 12 week plan, as a lot of people have been successful with it, making sure to enter your details into the BMI calculator, to get a calorie allowance tailored to your personal requirements. Don't forget to take your starting measurements and a 'before' picture, as they can be very motivating on days that the scales refuse to co-operate.
We run a weigh-in every day of the week and you'd be very welcome to join one of them. The threads can always be found in the Events section, to the right of the HOME page, bottom on a mobile.
We also run a Daily Diary, where we share our meal and exercise plans for the day. It's a great place to get ideas and to keep us focused. The link can also be found in Events.
Be aware, that the HU app doesn't give you access to all of our important features, so we advise that you use the full website page.
We've found that to get the best out of this community, we need to be active on the forum, as it's where we exchange information, get motivation and inspiration and make friends. We hope that you'll join us here, regularly, too.

I am currently following Slimming World but weighing in at my mum's house because I am saving money for my wedding and I am in the process of moving. My fiancé asked me to live with him and I agreed.
I live with my partner..still trying to decide which weight loss plan to follow..Thought about Ww but not sure..how are you finding Slimming World?
I am finding it OK. I have lost 4 lbs in my first 3 weeks. One of my colleagues at work had a spare set of the books etc which she then gave me so that I could follow the plan too.

welcome! All advice given above stands. Definitely join the daily diary, if even just go have a look through other peoples menu and find inspiration. Join a weigh in and weigh once a week. There's so much support for losing, maintaining and gaining, not that we want you to gain but sometimes it might happen! I'm following the 12 wk plan nhs and its the first thing that's properly kick started weight loss for me. I think its a good mix of getting active and watching the calories. So far 8.5lb after 2 wks. Everyone is different I've minimum three stone to lose. Good luck with your weight loss journey!🍀 💪🏼

You can do it.........lots of weight to lose can seem impossible......I have lost 5st in last 2-3 years........wish it was going faster.....but more behind me than there is to go now😃
