Hi,I am new to all this and don't really know what to say.I will be 64 next week and have been overweight for about 30 years now.My weight is stable but I want to lose some.I find it difficult to exercise as I have Rhuematoid and Osteoarthritis.
I like to cook, read, travel, the sea and sun.I do voluntary work and that keeps me busy.I live on my own with my cat.God,all that makes me seem very boring and dreary but I can assure you that I am not! No idea why the pic.is this way round!

I love your pic, even if you are sideways and I don't think you sound boring and dreary, at all!

I wouldn't worry about it. Most people are too worried about what they look like in a swimsuit to worry about anybody else. And nobody can really see much underwater anyway! I think if you're interested you should try it.
I have seen it said on here that losing weight is 80% calories and only 20% exercise. I would suggest looking at a calorie counter to see what a range would be for you to lose weight. I use the one on the NHS Choices site and it hasn't steered me wrong yet.
Hi - you look great, even sideways! - definitely try the water aerobics - as mentioned, most people are only concerned about what they look like in a cozzie... and it would be a great benefit - I felt much like you and try water aerobics, even though I'm not great in the pool - it's fantastic and you get to meet like minded people. Good luck.
Hi Karl, I'm new too. I have psoriatic arthritis and whole host of other auto immune disorders . I too struggle with exercise.I know swimming is best for me, unfortunately there are no pools nearby where We live. I am trying to walk around the green outside our house,I started with a 10 minute fast hobble, some days that's so much as I can manage. I hope to increase that slowly. I don't think I'll ever jog,but hey some exercise is better than none at all 😊 good luck 😊
Thanks Trader295.I should really try and walk a bit more too.I am alright once I get out there and start walking,it's the thinking about it bit!We will have to encourage each other.
I'm afraid you've found a 7 year old post, Aqua_marine and Kari9 hasn't posted anything since 24th October, 2016. Unfortunately Related Posts can be years out of date, so it's always best to check the date first
