So all is going well on the food front, couldn't help but step on the scales on day 6 and I have lost 3 pounds, so I'm now at 12.7 which is nice
However I have quite a sedentary lifestyle and as satisfying as the gym can be, I live in a not very safe area (3 muggings last week and a break in last night!!!) so I don't feel particularly comfortable walking there on my own - especially as I usually work until it gets dark. So I've decided to take on the 10,000 step challenge! My work is very mobile so I'm going to try work it into my day.
It was a lot easier to get a nice long walk in when I had a dog but sadly she died at the start of the year.
Hope everyone is having a good week so far!

Sorry to hear about your dog, its painful when they go and I know how good they are at getting one out of the door so well done that despite your circumstances you've found a method to get your exercise in.
I'm so sorry to hear about your dog, I know how hard that can be. Itsbab told me about the Leslie Sansome 1 mile walk - it's on YouTube, you do it in the house and its quite motivating and only takes 15 minutes. She also does a 3 and 5 mile one. Might be worth a look at. Good luck with your challenge.
