Failure is in giving up .....
You need to give it time it didn't come on you in a week aim for 0.5-2lbs loss a week after week 1
If you start by assuming you will do well then you will do well - maybe not every week, we all have good and bad moments and our bodies are not machines. Show some grit and determination and you can do it. Good luck! 🤞
don't think about the end weight... set yourself mini goals that are achievable and reward yourself with a mini treat when you achieve it ! hopefully that will give you something to keep you interested in losing the weight.
I am mega impatient to lose weight and have to be really strict with myself about my expectations. I'm three weeks in and feeling disappointed that I'm not noticeably slimmer, and my clothes don't feel massively different. I have (only just) resisted weighing myself since I started as I feel that weighing regularly is demoralising. We must try to have the long-term view. And realise that losing weight is never a quick fix, but a long term health and well being choice, not a short 'diet' in order to jettison 3 stone, then a resumption of all the bad habits that caused the weight problem in the first place. 123fat, keep focused on the prize, and the above comments. Small goals (for me, sometimes it's just being able to go to bed in the evening feeling satisfied that I've eaten sensibly during the day), slow and steady weight loss and lots of non-weight/food related treats and distractions! Lots of luck and determination to you! X
Hi 123 ,we all want quick results .I would love to lose loads of weight quickly. Their is great support on this for um ,so you pick up so much advice and it's impartial.Good luck in your journey.
Hello 123fat and welcome to the forum 😊 Have a good look around, especially the Welcome Newbie post (in 'pinned' posts)
Trying to achieve rapid 'weight' loss is perhaps one of the single most common dreams we all have. However, it is physically impossible to lose body fat rapidly. 😕
But, losing 5% or 10% of your body weight will have proper benefits to health 😊
I don't know how much you weigh or what your targets are but it's more important to make sensible changes to eating and exercise habits than achieve startling results on the scales.
Best wishes
Anna
