is this a good diet?

hi, i need to lose weight and was wondering if eating a slice of toast in the morning and soup plus 2 slices of toast for tea is a good option? I'm feeling rather low atm so soup i feel is right?.. advice

It's not very exciting and lacks a range of nutrients. I would suggest breakfast, lunch as you say then for tea chicken or fish with veg. Good luck, don't starve yourself!

It doesn't sound like very much and I'm not sure you're doing your body many favours :) variety is so important for lots of reasons, least of all because you'll drive yourself insane with soup and bread! :) is this what you eat everyday?

What are you having for lunch? Or is this literally everything you eat in a day? That can't be more than say... 600 calories? Which is not enough. I'd feel super depressed if this was all I had :)

I suggest having a mixture of food, don't have too much bread, have fruit and vegetables with meals and as snacks if needed. You really really don't need to starve to lose weight :) cook healthy, eat healthy and you will start to feel healthy! All the things above are fine, as long as they're part of a varied and balanced diet :)

There is a recipe section on here somewhere which will give you some ideas of the healthy/delicious things people eat while still losing weight so it's worth a look :)

All good replies here. I'm sure you want to lose weight and keep it off, toasts for one week may be ok, but in the long run you might struggle.

I feel that you will get bored by this menu and may give up. It's too much like a restricted diet. Have you tried the 12 week plan? Xx
