Beware the sausage!

I had a good start - wholemeal toast with mushrooms for breakfast, out for lunch and was really good by having the veg soup. Then I decided to cook the family toad in the hole. I was hungry so I had three sausages. Surely that would be fine...? I knew something was up as I actually FULL as I had to leave my new potatoes. I always cleared my plate before so this was new to me. I had not had sausages since I started losing weight so hadn’t done my homework. 3 sausages turned out to be 452 CALORIES!!! 😱 That’s scuppered my snacking this evening!

Look at it this way, Nikabi, you had a meal that was completely satiating, so you won't need to snack, which has to be a good thing :)

Don't stress about it too much, but I know your struggle! I've recently discovered "Heck" Chicken sausages that taste just like normal sausages but are only 99 calories for two! They're delicious too! #notsponsored #:)

I will have to try them. I have a fussy husband who only likes certain sausages... and he is skinny! So unfair!

My mum is SUPER fussy when it comes to sausages, but she really enjoyed these! :)

Hi Nikabi, that fact you stopped eating when you were full is good. I think It's ok to have these foods now and again. I see as long term lifestyle change rather than starvation diet.

It was lovely to stop when full! I don’t think my body knew how to before. :-)

That sausages I have are less than that. But they are cruel! Some times I swap it for bacon as 2 rashers are only 70 cals without the fat!

Good on you for stopping when full, I had this experience a couple of days ago and was overjoyed! It’s the little things! Aha

Good luck on the rest of your weight loss :)
