I'm jealous - I was in hospital all last week, only managing approx 500cal per day (mostly veg and a bit of yoghurt) and I got onto the scales yesterday and I have put on 200g! I am guessing fluid retention. :-(

it could be fluid, but if you only had 500 calories for several days your body is probably hanging on to body fat for dear life! This happens apparently if the body thinks you're starving , and is why vwry low cal diets dont work. Once youre eating 1200 or more you should see a loss.

Could be too few calories plus usually limited mobility if in hospital. Hope you are feeling better now, any water gained should disappear once your back on track.

I like the chicken soup I used to do, it was from a slimming club I used to go to that began with S lol

Garlic

Chillis (I use lazy jar red chilli, add to taste)

Salt & pepper to taste ( I never used salt)

Chicken stock (I used cubes and made about 3pints)

Onions 4 -5 depending on size

Carrots 5-7 depending on size

1 kg chicken (supposed to be breast but iv used tescos 1kg drumsticks, skin removed of course) cut up the chicken into cubes

1lg pck of egg noodles ( my family like them broken rather than left long)

No oil was used, I dissolved the stock cubes and just threw everything in the stew pot & cook until all is cooked & add the noodles about 5-10mins befor ur ready to serve.

I like it more the next day, the noodles had soaked up more of the stock and it's lovely :)

I have a pic, wonder if I can add it?

Good luck !

No, it was fluid retention- due to my cycle! Luckily! But faced with eating yoghurt or nothing (as was the case for me), I'll go for yoghurt any day!! Good to know that, when you actually have a choice, it's best to avoid yoghurts and baked beans (how random) though!
