Believe in yourself and you'll succeed. I ask myself if I'll be happier eating & drinking myself fatter, or will,I be happier without excess weight. My answer is I'll be much happier & healthier with a controlled diet. You can do it, ☺
The good thing is that you are doing something about it - now, before your weight creeps up further.
Take each day on its own. Try to plan what you're going to eat for the day - write it down and work out the calories. Hide any food that you shouldn't eat (biscuits, chocolate) somewhere where you won't keep seeing it.
Try out some healthy recipes (if you are the one who cooks in the house). At the end of each day, decide whether you feel it was an excellent, good, bad or disastrous day.
Aim for more good or excellent days by the end of the week.
It takes much longer to lose weight than it does to gain it (sadly) but losing weight doesn't have to be all doom and gloom. If you are able to exercise, take yourself out for a 30 minute walk. Walk normally for 50 paces and then walk briskly for 50 paces, etc. Even in the rain, a walk lifts the spirit and makes you feel better!

We run daily weigh-in sessions and you would be very welcome to join us today, or any other day. The thread can be found in the Events section, to the right of the home page, bottom if using a mobile.
Many people have been successful with the 12 week plan, so here's hoping it'll be the same for you. Don't forget to take initial measurements and photos, as it's a great way of seeing just how far you've come, especially when the scales aren't co-operating fully

Have a good look around the forum especially the Newbies post (in the Pinned Posts section to the right of your screen (bottom if you're using a mobile) and also the links to the NHS 12 week plan weight loss plan. This is an excellent plan with weekly email support.
The forum has weigh in threads on 6 days of the week that you are welcome to join, as well as regular challenges. You can also get progress badges (the little grey box next to your name) If you would like a Newbie one just ask ☺
Don't forget to take your initial measurements and photographs as it's a great way of seeing just how far you've come, especially when the scales aren't co-operating.
