Well, according to my emails I signed up here on the 27th December 2019....Oops.
So, here I am, finally saying hello in the hope it will keep me more accountable with my diet and exercise which I am trying for the umpteenth time. Won't go into actual figures as it stands, but my weight loss goal is a minimum of 6-7 kilos.
My struggle is that I am currently waiting for an ultrasound injection into one of my feet, to hopefully treat a pain I have had in my foot for probably nearly three years now. Prior to this I was an avid runner, which I can no longer do until my foot is sorted as it's high impact exercise and the rolling motion of the foot when you walk/run that causes me pain. Previously I could go to the gym and cross train or swim, but obviously that's not an option at the moment.
I have started the 30-day shred, which does include some high impact but adjustments can be made. I have tried previously and got up to 18 days, this time I want to do the full 30. No reason not to be able to do it when it doesn't look like I will be able to make many plans to get in the way of getting it done!
I did day 1 yesterday and started logging my food on MFP again, weighed myself and got the other half to take a "before" photo, so fingers crossed this time it sticks!

I can empathise with the foot pain and hope you get your injection very soon.
If you intend calorie counting, then I advise that you get a calorie allowance from the NHS BMI calculator, as MFP is notoriously stingy and eating too little can be counter-productive.
You may find joining our Fit is Fun Club will help to keep you focused for your 30 day shred, as will our Jailbreak Challenge.
All of the information you need about the forum can be found in Pinned Posts healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh... and I hope you'll be joining all the Events, Challenges and Clubs that we run, especially a weigh-in and the daily diary.
We've found active participation to be key to successful weight loss and, of course, it's a good way to get to know people, find inspiration and share support and encouragement.
Thank you I have taken a quick look around do people update their own bits and pieces on their own posts like mine or just comment on the challenges etc?
Welcome. I think that inspiration will take you a long way. I was equally inspired to take a selfie after reading Fast800, and used it a month later to show before and after.
I generally find (and I think it's true of most people) that diet is way more important than exercise. Do plan your eating, and especially be careful you don't eat more to compensate for calories burnt - because that's what your body will want to do.
