Hi happyhealthyjane :)

Firstly, welcome to the forum, I sincerely hope you like it here. :) Everyone is really kind and helpful and they are a really cool support network. Use them, they will keep you going when you're at your lowest, they'll cheer you at your highest; they're amazing. :) Xx

Secondly, good luck! :D I hope you achieve all your health goals and you continue to improve. This is good for you but also you'll be inspiration for others. I found this to be the case right at the beginning, I had so much weight to lose and it all seemed very daunting and scary and impossible but I read others' stories and it showed me it is possible...these are real people who work their buts off to get what they want. They are all inspirational here. ;)

I tend to read more than I post these days but I hope to see you on the forum again soon. :)

Hi Sazkia,

Thanks for your reply. I feel your support already:)

A lot of good points your raised, well said really.

Just like you, I may not be the most outspoken one on the forum.

But I'm definitely looking forward to read others' stories/motivation/tips for losing weight and stay healthy.

To me, motivation is the foremost important thing to achieve anything in life. So here I am, my dad and my aunt have type II diabetes, I had high blood sugar level when I was pregnant with my son. I managed to lose quite a bit weight 1 year after my son was born. But the weight just piled back on after that, moving house, job hunting and many other things as you can imagine, life does get in the way. Now my son is 3, I think I'm fully ready, not only to tackle the weight issue, but to make long term changes, to be happier with myself, and be there to support my son in the long run. I'm not in for a quick fix, my target is to lose 10 kg and develop a long term diet and exercise habit by the end of 2017. I'll have difficulties and setbacks, and that's why I'm here, to know I'm not alone, and to know it can be done!

Good lucky with your get healthy journey, too!

Jane

You have had a lot to deal with so well done for facing those issues. It cannot have been easy for you. Well done. :)

You can definitely achieve your goals and you're right, there are no 'quick fixes' but that's no reason to not face challenges head on. ;) I started here at the end of July 2016 and have lost a lot of weight, although I have a way to go yet I know I will achieve my ultimate goal. You can too!! :)

I look forward to reading about your journey!! :D
