Need help please
Hi and welcome, Jojo
I'm so sorry to hear that you lost your baby 8 weeks ago, you must have been devastated! I do hope that you're coming to terms with it now.
To be honest, I'm not surprised you're struggling with those last 4kg, as stress and weight loss rarely sit well together. You've done brilliantly to lose 13kg though and I'm sure the others will follow

Hi I am sorry about your loss!
Have you done protein only? I am sure you would lose the necessary weight if you stuck to this. Wishing you well.
So sorry for your loss. I hope you succeed with getting rid of those extra pounds. Perhaps give the 2:5 diet a go, I have hear that people have had some some really good results with that although I have not tried it myself
May even take my own advice and give it a go on Tuesday and Wednesday this week
Good luck with the IVF xxx
Why 2 weeks to lose 4 kgs? Is this some cut off for IVF or funding it? I know there can be craziness around those issues. This is really at the margins of what is sensibly achievable. It doesn't seem like a recipe for you to be in the best possible state of health for another conception, especially not at this time of year. Be really compassionate to yourself - it takes such a lot of guts to go through the experience of IVF and then to have a miscarriage is so hard.
That said, it could be that increasing your activity levels if you are able, especially outdoors walking or running, will help you cope emotionally as well as assist with weight loss. Perhaps follow a programme (such as the NHS C25K) which would give you some structure and sense of achievement. And if you can focus on the healthier special foods around Christmas and smaller portions of anything you fancy, you can combine celebrations and treats with at least maintaining your weight.
Thanks for your advise. 2 weeks is when I'm back at clinic .and if I have hit the target they set then I can start January cycle.. I'm limited to exercise as I have fibromyalgia amongst other health issues.. I eat healthy but it's the last 4kgs it won't shift been like it for 2 weeks now.. it's driving me crazy x
You have done so well. Is the IVF clinic able to help you reach the target they have set? It seems an extra pressure you could do without. I think there may be counselling available through the clinic to help you manage your journey through this. Don' t be afraid to ask for the help and support that might be the help you need. Good luck, and let us know how things work out for you.
