Unable to get motivated
Is it a long term problem? If so, have you considered using a wheelchair. I used to be in pain all the time but now I'm active and relatively pain-free.
Hi Burgerking,
I am sorry to hear you're experiencing so much pain - and I'm glad you're going to see your GP to find out what can be done to help you.
Having sleep deprivation and pain is a horrible combination, and I really hope you can get some relief soon.
Wishing you a good weekend, and hope you get your appointment soon to see your GP.

Good morning burgerking
I'm sorry you are struggling at the moment but try to have faith that things will improve. How are you doing in your weight loss? This will be difficult if you are in pain and not sleeping, both of which can affect weight loss 😕But it's important to eat healthily, especially as you get ready for your hip replacement. Movement is also important, it may be worth seeing a Physio before surgery. (I used two sticks which really helped, and still use one on bad days) I got very overweight and unfit prior to surgery in June 2015 and it took a lot of effort to get back afterwards so I do understand 😕
I hope you get your surgery soon, have a good Sunday 😊
Thank you for the reply My weight is up and down but still eating healthy at the moment. I am using 1. Of my Crutches will have to use both to help me get more mobile
I have been using crutches for 4 weeks but still managed to lose weight by using NHS recipes and actually enjoyed most of them and am sticking to them mostly. Also where you get the calories with these it was easier to know the calories without fully counting them out myself. The first week I put on a pound but I mainly lost a pound a week so it helped. This week I am starting to come of them completely and last week I was using just one. You can still manage to lose weight even if it is only when u are better, have faith in yourself as you will still get there at some time.
Hello Burgerking Have huge sympathy as I'm the same I'm having a hip replacement in March I can't do anything at the moment The pain is excruciating I'm ooohing and aaahing and taking deep breaths just to move round the house What painkillers are you on ?
I too find it hard to get motivated being in so much pain
Do you have a date for your op ?
The November/December Happiness Challenge has really helped me through some very dark days and kept my spirits up Its not too late to join in It hasn't taken my pain away but it's really kept me positive and a lot happier than I know I would have been without it
Wishing you all the very best please keep me posted 😀
