First time : Hi I'm new to this site but... - Weight Loss Support
First time
I'm new to this site as well, if you want we can motivate each other through the process as from January I've been trying to do it on my own. June comes along with holiday and birthday diet goes out the window.
Be kind to yourself and encourage yourself to keep going. Join in with the forum. Try new healthy recipes. 🐛☺
Plan, weigh and take each day as it comes, lots here use the nhs 12 week plan, Lowcal does a welcome pack, ( no doubt she will join you later).
Currently I'm maintaining and cutting back on my added sugars, loving my slowcooker too, waist and wallet friendly ( don't be tempted to over portion or cook tho)
Thankyou I'm starting tomorrow so I'm weighing in dreading it as I think that I'm the heaviest iv been and any motivation will be good
Hi Winniebear24,
Welcome to the Weight Loss NHS forum. Do have a look at our Welcome Newbie post - it's in the Pinned posts section (right-hand-side of the homepage), and join in with anything you like the look of.
We also have a Collation of recipes in there - click on 'view more' in the Pinned posts and its down the bottom - but also if you look at the Topics section, then you will see lots of recipes and meal ideas there as well.
The NHS 12 week plan is really good, so worth a look. You can find a link to that in the Welcome Newbie post and via the homepage, where you can download all 12 weeks - it's really good if used with the sign-up to E-mail support - that is a great way to use the plan.

Hi Winniebear24, I am starting tomorrow as well, do you want to be my weight loss buddy?
Although you ultimately have an end goal, one of the best things you can do is to not allow yourself to look too far ahead, taking each week as it comes.
In doing so, focus can be retained upon planning meals for the week ahead, in addition to figuring out how your day-to-day life will fit around exercise and not the other way around.
By placing the above emphasis upon exercise, you’re more likely to ensure that it becomes a larger part of your weekly schedule, allowing levels of fitness to improve and weight to be lost alongside eating more nutritious foods.
Additionally, by understanding that the unwanted excess didn’t accumulate overnight so it’s not going to be lost overnight, either, you’ll hopefully remove some of the unnecessary pressure that you’ve placed upon your shoulders.
Hi winniebear24
Welcome to the forum, I hope you'll be very successful. My advice? Come here often, chat with as many people as you can and be active...this place is a goldmine for advice, motivation and inspiration; if you use it. Don't be frightened coming on here if you have a bad day/week/month - the point is you keep trying, you keep picking yourself up and you will succeed !
Good luck!
Sazkia ♥
