I just had to post this as I feel like telling the world π
Yesterday I started physio for my hip and lower back pain it went really well I'm going to have them weekly for a while At last I have an exercise plan to follow Today I tried a little local trip in my car first time since May 25th as I was told it would be OK It was very nerve racking but the feeling of getting my independence back was so amazing ππ»ππ»
I feel I will able to move more now and drive to nice local parks etc for walks rather than just plodding round the block I know it's still early days and mustn't overdo it but I can see light at the end of the tunnel at last πππ
It's like I've come alive again and I'm so looking forward to some lovely autumn walks π π π π
Hope you are all having a good day it's a bit grey and drizzly down here in Hampshire but in my heart it's brilliant sunshine ππππ

That's great news . Autumn is a lovely season . It's grey here as well but luckily it's not raining here as we are having our central heating system replaced & all the doors are open.
Yes , they finished it a couple of hours ago & I've just had a lovely shower. Just got to sort out the kitchen & I can start cooking properly again π
Thanks. We've got more plumbers round on Thursday to hopefully fix the bath tap & slow filling toilet . Then in about a months time we having new flooring & carpets laid & then new sofas.
It's the best thing we did to get laminate floors they look so nice too and fantastic to keep clean ππ»
I can just imagine them yesterday how many do you have ?
We only have one now called Maisie she was a rescue kitten from the RSPCA she's ginger and white and absolutely gorgeous She is 2 now π
We lost our beautiful Rosie aged 16 a couple of years ago and couldn't bring myself to get another cat but as the months went by I couldn't bear the house without one It wasn't "home" π’
It's lovely choosing new things for the house isn't it ? π
We have two sisters ( both black) adopted from cats protection nearly 3 years ago.
Our first cat was a black & white female called Jess & when we lost her it broke both our heats & we had two new cats within a couple of weeks as I couldn't bear coming home to an empty house. She was about 17 not exactly sure as she was a rescue cat too.
They are both adorable & one looks like & acts like a kitten still.
We always make sure Maisie is in if we are going out for a long time and she always appears coming down the stairs when we get in I hated the house without a cat it's just not home is it ?
It is absolutely heartbreaking when you lose a cat people who aren't into pets don't understand
it will be nice hearing their little paws patter over your new floors βΊοΈ
That's good to know. We are having a reflecting underlay installed to keep the warmth in. I have a lovely warm pair of slipper boots so I should be fine xx
Can't wait now . I'm sure it will be worth all the upheaval . The cats are going to their holiday home so they won't get stressed or in the way. Lucky things .
I am so pleased you have some help and feel so much better. It's a fantastic feeling when you can go wherever you want on your own even if it's only a little further afield.
I love the Autumn all the changing colours and especially when we have a crisp frosty morning makes you feel glad to be aliveππ
Thank you yes it's such a lovely feeling to get my freedom again I've looked at my car on the drive all summer and felt so frustrated that I couldn't get in it even to do short trips
Oh yes autumn is beautiful I love it and yes crisp frosty mornings are gorgeous I love to see the seasons change ππ
Thanks Bev π
Awwww this is great news am the same with my leg but am still trying to get where you are all the very best don't over do it live Kim xx
Yesterday I was so full of "I can do this I can do that" now but then in the afternoon I was really tired and achey and had to give myself a talking to So I sat and caught up on some tv progs I'd missed and knitted and felt much better ππ»
Today I'm going to just potter do my exercises and listen to my body
I'm planning a little trip locally in my car there is a beautiful lake I can try a little walk ππΏππΏπ²
I do hope you are recovering well it's over a month now isn't it so hope you are feeling much better π
Thank you Cat33 π I so understand about the roller-coaster of recovery!! I am fine one minute, full of energy, then exhausted the next π Also my joints are bad just now, (it's a side effect of the surgical menopause apparently π) But as long as I keep moving gently and don't try to do too much it's ok π Worst is my wrists, but I've googled some wrist strengthening exercises to add to the list!! Lol π
I'm back on track eating wise which feels optimistic π
Thank you so much it really means a lot to have such lovely replies
Just had a trip to the supermarket just to get a couple of things felt I could have gone on to somewhere else but thought no a little trip a day until I feel better So tomorrow will be a little walk πππΏππ
AND I've lost 2 more lbs this week ππππππ
Thank you I know I wouldn't have done it without this lovely forum as I've been fed being inactive and feeling poorly and I was comfort eating until I joined ππ
