So I've been doing low carb recently, and lost 7lbs in the week, was feeling really positive and excited about it.
But yesterday, I don't know. I just gave in to all my cravings and just packed myself full of carbs. Weighed myself this morning and had gained 2.4lbs.
I'm trying not to be mad at myself, I know slip ups happen. I know at this point, the weight loss ins't just a want, its a need. I need to do this, for the sake of my health, and reversing my diabetes.
I just hope that the slip ups don't happen too often!

Is there any way you could get rid of all the high carb food in the house? If it's not there, you can't eat it.
Make sure you're eating plenty of other foods to compensate for the lack of carbohydrate in your diet, particularly natural fats and leafy green veg.
If you feel those cravings coming on again, try some diversion tactics - go for a walk, without your purse. Log onto this site and start chatting/reading motivating and inspiring posts. Have a bath. Paint your finger nails and toenails. Tell everyone around you, that for your health, you mustn't eat these things and ask them to help keep you on the straight and narrow.
My problem isn't when I'm at home, it's when I'm at work! There is so much crap we can just help ourselves to in the kitchen , and I have such bad self control.
Gonna meditate tonight and hopefully work through some of the reasons I'm binging again.
Maybe don't weigh yourself immediately after a tumble as that can be a bit depressing. Just pick yourself up and carry on…
Weighing yourself the morning after a carb binge you will always look as though you have piled on weight, because your body will have retained water to help process the carbs, and of course water weighs quite heavy. If you go back on your low carb regime for even a few days, and weigh yourself again, you'll find that 2.4lbs has gone away.
Have you got to do a low carb diet because of your diabetes, or would you be able to try a regime which allows you some carbs? Possibly this would help you not crave so much?
Recently I tried the low carb diet, and it depressed me so much just seeing a constant array of meals consisting of boiled eggs that I packed it in after a few days. I'm now doing better on a straight calorie counting diet where I can have cereal for breakfast and/or a sandwich at lunchtime, and a small portion of pasta/potatoes at dinner if I want them. Admittedly, I don't have diabetes, so I get a free choice. But I find having some carbs just makes the whole diet more enjoyable, and I feel pretty well on it.
