My tip of the week this week is, Get online, look for an event near you and PAY THE MONEY AND SIGN UP....
I just completed a 10k race with my daughter yesterday (04.08.16) and it was fantastic. If you enter a race or event then you are committing yourself and you have to go out and train, put in effort or risk losing your hard earned money. It really is a motivator to get your backside out the door.
Watch the Olympics and get yourselves inspired. Go do a challenge.
Very well done! Unfortunately some of us are unable to run due to various reasons, I'm getting fitter all the time and doing lots of walking and power walking, I find my tracker a great motivator, and feeling better of course.
That is wonderful, but as was said previously, some of us aren't able to do that just yet. I am struggling at the moment, as i have a bad left leg, and hasn't been able to enjoy my 30-45 mins walk home from work daily.
Sometimes it gets me down, as i know it is as a result of me walking 7 days a week allowed me to lose weight safely and faster. I am not a gym person, i can't stand being in a gym, and prefer the outdoors.
I walked about 25mins on my way to town this morning, broke a bit of sweat, and encourage myself. As tesco says EVERY LITTLE HELPS.
Now for the good news. I had my weigh in yesterday at my nutritionist and i am now 18st 6Ibs. That may sound a lot, and yes its a lot, but for me, coming from 21st in January 2016, this is a great achievement. Rome wasn't built in a day, and i know i have come a long way. My target is 17st, but will def go down a bit more when i reach 17st.
Not all events are running events. Try golf or walking events. The post is not about running but about doing exercise. Look at my video about exercise. Yes I am running but I am showing you how slow is better. Try badmington, tennis, anything that gets you out of the house doing something extra. All those burned up calories count towards your goal...
