It is pouring with rain here today, so that's quashed my intentions for another long walk. But to cheer us all up here is a nice sunny photo taken last sunday on my favourite walk along the Kennet &Avon Canal. Just about holding onto my weight loss, last month was up 3lbs , down 1 lbs, up 2 lb down 2 lbs, it is an ongoing fluctuation in maintenance. Hope other maintainers are holding on too !
Er, anyone know how to turn a photo round the right way??lol

Go out anyway, I walked miles round Glastonbury Festival in the rain and the mud, and it was fine! In fact there's a nice feeling going out in the rain when others would be put off, you feel like you're getting more of the outdoors to yourself. I've commuted by bike today with my waterproofs all ready to go in case a downpour happens 🚲 🌈
Thanks, I know you are absolutely right but Ive always hated getting soaked , wet hair etc. Silly and vain I know ! So I need to just go for it one day when I dont have to be anywhere afterwards , so can just come home, shower and look human again!
Lovely photo, don't let the rain stop you though. I've had a morning walk as rain is forecast later so I won't want a really long walk in it, but I will still go!
'life isn t about waiting for the storm to pass it's about learning to dance in the rain'
I know you're right ...see my reply to Ruth above, she said the same...
Nice photo...I used to be a fair weather runner but now I run in anything bar a lightning storm. I sure could use some of your rain - approaching 40 days without a drop here everything is starting to look straw coloured. Not sure you can turn a photo around - you just need to make ensure the picture your are posting is wider than it is tall (I use the 'snip' tool to achieve this). Good luck with the maintenance - the really difficult task - maybe you could re-boot - or if you're not already doing so, weight in each week to keep yourself on track?
Thanks for the photo tip jenyfer, I've kept at a 22-23 BMI for 15 months and yes I do weigh every week or two . If I get close to my "ceiling" I go back to calorie counting for a week. I dont think you can ever take your eye off the ball but you give yourself just a few pounds slack ( in my case up to + 4 lbs then I calorie count for a while)
In the end I busied myself with some long overdue chores, did not sit down all day. Then went out at 3.30 had an hours walk, so not too bad a day in the end.
