Well, my weight loss has had a slow start. Four weeks in and only 2 pounds down.
So, I decided to up the exercise this weekend. My partner and I managed an 8 mile walk on Saturday morning and we broke the 20,000 steps target for the day by some margin.
Sunday we gardened all morning and walked all afternoon. After a healthy supper I decided to do an aerobic video workout. How surprised was I when my partner donned his shorts and joined in! If laughing burns up calories we did really well, as we jostled, bumped and crashed into each other in totally unco-ordinated fashion.
As I completed my weigh in this morning, my partner asked me to check his BMI to see how "under-weight" he was too. He is now hooked on losing his excess 10 lbs. The challenge has been set for which of us will lose 10 lbs first.
So my healthy month may not have lost me lots of weight, but at least my partner has now joined me for the rest of the plan. It feels as though I am starting again with new vigour.
