It has been suggested I purchase one of these watches/bracelet things that can give a trueish account of cals burnt/monitor heart rate. I use myfitnesspal to track food, use an iphone.
Can anyone reccommend one (cheaper the better)?
Thanks

I try to burn 500 cals daily at the gym and use that has my food deficate, but found that the machines don't give a true account and can be off my alot.
I can't comment on others but I have a Fitbit Flex and find it very accurate. I paid £44 in the Black Friday sales but even at the £60 it's at now it's well worth it.
It tracks my steps (and it's spot on), it tracks calories burned, water intake, sleep, active minutes and distance covered. It also tells me how many hours in the day I've been active. The more expensive models also tell you your heart rate and how many flights of stairs you've climbed. I wasn't interested in that, nor my heart rate (as long as it's beating, that's good enough for me lol). The flex does everything I want.
It's also comfy and quite neat, it's not a bulky/ugly thing that's really obvious.
It also syncs with MFP regularly, and quickly. And I have an iPhone too, the app is really easy to use.
I just want to know while I'am in a spinning class, on the cross trainer or treadmill how many calories I have burn't. Why are things so complicated especially technology haha. Not bothered about anything else. My friend is getting one but hers is with swazoski crystals on bit over the top.
Garmin vivofit 1, I have it with the chest strap which monitors your heart rate when you wear it to calculate calories burnt. I wear it for running and hiking, otherwise I just use the wrist band as watch and pedometer. Sometimes you find them on ebay, I got mine on Amazon when it was on offer.
That is what I have been told but then there are trackers without heart monitors but still workout your calories, this is complicated and they are not cheap.
Not got one yet but thinking about it. I have heard that ones with a chest strap as much more accurate at recording HR and therefore calories, which makes sense as your radial (wrist) pulse is much weaker. Think I saw one in decathlon for about £20? Ugly but could be worn under clothes!
