Stick with it. It's better to loose 1/2 pound than to put it on. It may come off next week. I have grapefruit in a morning and I think that helps my metabolism. Although if you try it it can interfere with medication. So check first. Good luck x

It may well be worth it to take other measurements, like cheat, waiste and hips.

You may have converted some fat to muscle. Muscle mass is more dense - taking up "less space" but obviously weighs something!

It might also just be water retention and you will suddenly drop 5lbs in a week... Your weight loss is never going to be linear, don't let it put you off, you'll do great. 😊

Hi, I know exactly how you feel! My weight has been very slow and stubborn to lose too, but all I can say is I am just finishing week 7 and the half pound here, 1lb there have added up to me being half a stone lighter and I feel much better for it. So my advice is stick with it, you will get there! Also try changing the kind of food you eat, have plenty of fruit and veg, mix things up a bit, it can kick start your metabolism. Good luck!

I have lost weight at a similar rate and am now over two stone lighter, 😊 I gained weight at about 1/2 stone a year so no way was it going to shift in a hurry! It us about a change in mentality towards better fitness and nutrition, you are doing great Nermal93 😊 Keep up the good work! 😊

Don't give up - we are all different and have variable metabolic rates. Some people lose wight with great ease - alas I am not one of them- I have to really work at it to persuade my body to give up even half a pound..

But half around is not mean achievement either -I think it equals a pack of butter...

Keep at it , look at a 250 g tub of butter , that's loads !

Just wondering about your Fitbit is it easy to use?

Hi Nermal93,

Here's a link to the latest Monday group thread, so you can either post in it, and you'll be a "newbie" for our weekly stats, or you can wait till Monday 13th June and join in that day - whichever suits you best! :-) The latest thread is always posted in the 'Events' section - which is on the right-hand-side of the homepage about half-way down (below the Pinned posts), so you can find it easily - alternatively click 'follow' and my name (Lowcal) and you'll be automatically notified when I post the threads.

Glad you're going to be joining us, and hope we can give you some support - it's a friendly and supportive group.

Thank you Lowcal but it's taken me 3 weeks to lose it not a week :(. I would be more than happy to lose 1/2bl in a week. I am counting calories. Moving about more . It's just making me disheartened. :(

Hi Nermal93,

Just to say, it might be worth double checking your calorie allowance/range, as you might not be eating sufficient calories for your body's needs - if you go to this page and fill in your personal details in the BMI calculator (i.e. height, current weight, and activity levels) then you can double check - just a suggestion.

Good luck!

Please don't give up Nermal93 you never know what the scales may say next week. Maybe try shaking things up a bit. Don't eat too many carbs in the evening or have a higher protein breakfast. I know that the fitbit can give you lots of information - is there anything that you can change from that? Just a thought. Keep going :)
